Ed,

My 700 bbl came in from Pac Nor last week...

26 incher...

Looks awesome...

When will CH4D have dies ready for the 700 H 3.25"???

Getting antsy waiting on MRC...

At least they are taking the time to make sure it's being done right...

They are working on finishing stages of first run. I think
they would like to sell 400 right handed ones
to be flush enough to do the lefties.Ed

When I talked with them 7 months ago or so they were more leaning towards making the mini action before the left handed action P.H.'s. Has this changed?

Talked with Jeff at Montana Rifle Company today. The PH right hand chrome-moly actions are about to go out for heat treatment. After they are returned they will be inspected and if everything looks good, sent out. Expect another month or two. He is leaning on finishing all the PH versions before going to the Mini’s. This is subject to change. Anyone waiting on the mini’s, it will be another year or two.

I shot a few of Tom's Copperhead Custom
825Gr jkt 700 bullets in the long and short
700s. They work great and he has a cannalure
on them for crimping.. Loaded down a little
to 2400 great for hogs, etc..Young guys here
get a kick out of stuffing my 3.25" case in
the old Enfield and watching or shooting
it. Neat old/new engineering.Ed

A bunch of 585HE reloading dies will be done in 3-4
weeks and I'll have some here. Then they'll
do the 700H. MRC is supposed to have couple prototype
PH actions at the Orlando Shot Show I heard.
Plan on delivery next month. I hope.Ed

Thanks Jeff for the update, I'm really looking forward to having a masterpiece built on the "PH". I've narrowed mine down to two chamberings so maybe I will just have to buy another one. Rodney.

what Rodney said, but I ordered two at the beginning. One for Ed's 585 HE, but the other is still up in the air. I miss the 505 Gibbs I traded off last year, but it would be redundant with my 550 Gibbs and a 585 HE. Perhaps the 475 Gibbs...?

Sorry Guys, I want to answer all your questions but I just got back in the office and I have 357 messages, I gotta get to work and get this project finished. I was hoping to have a dealer going to SCI this week that could take my protoype so people there could see it but the one I had backed out of going. Are there any of my dealers on here going this week?

OK for those of you going to SCI I just drop shipped my prototype ( without firing pin assembly because I don't want to send one with a broken firing pin assembly as they require). It will be in booth 744 Ryan Breeding Rifle Maker and also in booth 747 Evolution USA. Please stop by so you can see what it will be like.

Rich said he will have pics when he's back.
It will take any cases shorter than my
585HE of that range of sizes. and it takes
700H 3.25" or 700DA 3". It would do my
long 700HE singleshot...Ed

the pictures will show the 3.818" long original Boomie 3" case with the monstrous 1018gr cast bullet in it; fitting (with room to spare) in the magazine box. A guy might get four round in the magazine, but I can't say for sure. It's a beauty, in a Hummer or anvil sort of way!

You won't believe how sweet it is...

Maybe the photos don't capture the proportions properly, but it seems as if that loaded round is a tad longer than the magazine box. Just the photo?

Rich can respond but I think they fit 3 down and with the extended mag 4 down. The angle and perspective makes the Mag look smaller.

Can hardly wait for "PH" to get here, it's been about five long years since original order. In this time I've gone back and forth as to which cartridge to build it around. Only in the last year was a chambering settled on and a final call to update the order. It will have been a bit of a wait but well worth it. Rodney.
