I click on this thread because it was amusing, but now it’s a little disgusting. Up till now I was hoping it would end well, and have some redeeming quality. The further it goes, the less hope I have for that. It’s still possible, but I’ll wager that any redeeming quality won’t be from HC fessing up to anything. If anything is to be learned it’s to forget about getting answers from HC, or teaching him something, or giving him a dose of his own treatment. You have all the answers you need, so teach yourself something. First, you don't need vindication to be right, through HC's fessing up, because you're already right. The satisfaction of making HC wrong, and getting him to admit it is a classic bitch fight. I agree, that the forum is tainted with all this, and IMO it ain’t all about HC. Never has been. He’s leading you around by the ring in your nose, and he’ll drag this out, and prod you as long as you let him. You’ve been played, 7 pages of crap, and counting, and that is a multi-sided issue. HC couldn’t have done it by himself, without you playing along. If it makes you happy, I’ll ask HC to submit to your questions, and fess up, and kiss Idaho arsh – pretty please. Hotsh$t is afraid to answer the questions about his lack of elk hunting experience as that would reveal in a more clear fashion his total lack of experience. He is great about talking trash and downgrading someones questions or compliments and acts as if he is the resident expert idiot. He likes to call people out and challenge them on their comments but when the hose is turned on him he runs and hides like the pussy he is. If you talk the trash... I like it..... and have fun dishing out in return. It's like on the athletic fields if your a trash taker you better be able to back it up....... If the thread bothers you.....move on!!!! Yeah it bothers me but for reasons other than what you might think. It makes me feel sorry for the children participating in this Junior High school saga and it embarasses me that I am in the company of such a bunch of old women or teenage girls I can't tell which you all are. Seems to drag down this entire forum. I've always been proud to direct people to this forum as an excellent source of info and helpful experience, however since this started I'll no longer recommend this shit to anyone out of sheer and utter disgust. Carry on it seems as if some of you were born to it. Odds are good we all know persons in real life similar to those on these forums whose opinions, advise and assertions we do not respect or value. As is the common procedure on the ARPF, the rants, postings or postulations of those posters we do not value should be ignored as a policy. I am not sure or am un aware of the reasons why the members here that appear to be un appreciative of Hot Core's postings find themselves unable to ignore it. I seemed to notice a temporary improvment, since I figured TC1 was spending his time over on 24 hr, where I seldom visit. Maybe I was dreaming. OTOH, I shouldn't say stuff like that. I've kinda missed ole TC1, because IMO there's no one who has yet matched his personal insults and personal attacks capability. It's something to behold, downright emotional, and equally amusing. He's a pro at dismissing someone, and at the same time zeroed in, so to speak. Here is a very good example.
Just a set of lower class of posters these day's on these boards. KB is a very good example. Go back and read a few things this guy has posted on this thread. He finds it amusing to troll, thinks it's acceptable and has tried to engage this non-sense with me several times on this thread alone. He'll go back and change or delete his posts after he sobbers up or his meds kick in. I have great respect for the vast majority here and have learned so much and shared a little when I can. That said, some folks are here for no other reason than to stir up shit (the above quote is a perfect example.) They have no real experience to draw from but they never let that stop them from being experts on every subject they post on. When caught in a lie they'll go back and edit posts they aren't quoted on. They will troll a thread until it's just no fun anymore and will lie about thier own personal experience and make up kill stories that'll shore up thier point of view. This is entertainment to them. Like I said, just a lower class of people. It's not just Hore Core. I don't post much here anymore. Not much reason to. There is very little about guns or hunting on here anymore that doesn't break out into an argument over something. It wasn't always like this. Lots of good folks still here but like I said, it's just not worth the aggravation caused by a few. There are a lot of good folks here. There is at least one who is sefl righteous hypocrite. The reason I post about him is because he attacked me personally, and in his case it wasn't for amusment. He was serious, and did it out of his self-righteousness and highbrwo attitute. Not only that, he is a lier too. His claim of respect for others is hypocritical too. It's really self serving to get attention. In my case, he didn't lose respect, because there's none there to start with - same for everyone here - he only feeds his ego off you. Really now guys! This is absolutely rediculous. I'm with the guys who point out that this site isn't the place for this catty, old hag, bitch fight crap. I'm fairly new to this forum. I'm here to learn and share what I have learned about shooting, loading, hunting and so on. It's been great for all of these. It's also great for some humor and entertainment, but this isn't it. I don't understand these "personal attack" posts on perfectly good threads with interesting topics. I don't understand why knowledgeable members feel it necessary to belittle to get their point across either. I also am boggled by an entire thread dedicated to slam a member of the forum with, of course, other little battles between members imbedded in the "slam so and so" thread. How can any of you be so insulted by someone you don't even know, who lives who knows where, and you've never even seen to spend the time churning inside and spitting it up here to make someone look bad and feel bad so you can feel better? It's time to get your priorities straight. Get a frigging life. Spend more time at the bench and in the field and come back here with some valuable input. I have seen new forum requests by members. Saeed needs to impliment a new one for all you who fit the bill. I also recommend he delete any of this crap and repost it to that forum when it happens; kinda like house cleaning/organizing. | |||

So, does that answer your question? I figured this discussion was trash anyway, so I might as well bring out some of the things that I think degrade this forum. Simply said - it's personal attacks. Rude behavior. I can be rude and attack too, but I only unleash on some AH who really gets personal with me, like Terry. Terry and I have this long lasting standoff, which started when I disagreed with him, and he then commenced a personal attack on me, joined with at least two maybe three of his troll buddies. I learned a few things from that, and changed my tone generally, and try to have fun reading and posting here. Still there's the nasties lurking in the background. I suppose get used to it is the solution, and choose to ignore them or address them as direct as possible, as I intend to do with Terry. Fact is, I would forgive him for his personal attack, if he appologized and asked for forgivness. But I doubt that will happen, because it's all about looking good and ego for him. I wholehartedly agree with you. You say you don't understand. Apparantly you haven't been attacked personally. Let me give you an example: You don't know what you are talking about. You have little or no experience, we don't want the hear what you have to say. Butt out know nothing low life, get another life, but not here. etc. etc. etc. So that wasn't a slam for real, but an example of the chit that happened to me and others. It's not easy to overlook, and not get sucked in. And once sucked in, it only gets worse. There are those who are serious about it, and others who do it for amusment, and others who apparantly really don't give a chit. I don't know how it could be "regulated", so for now we just exercise choice - to ignore, make fun of it, or address it directly, or perhaps give um a dose of their own crap, the latter of course makes it grow. Those who object; It's nice to see numerous objections to someone being "slammed". However I have to wonder where all of you who are mentioning it on this thread are when Hot Core goes off on his personal rants and insults on other threads. All of us here have been insulted for several years now in not only similar but worse ways by Hot Core. He makes absolutely rediculous claims of his hunting, shooting abilities and reloading practices as "advise" to other posters which most often are misleading and even dangerous. When some, anyone, attempts to correct his information or disagree with him he goes off on personal attacks and insults. We have tried reasoning with him to no avail, we have tried ignoring him to no avail. He follows several of us to other threads and continues his insults and personal attacks where ever we post. So now we have had enough of him and are giving him a dose of his own medicine on one thread dedicated to just that. We are not interrupting, hijacking or ruining anyone else's thread here. If you don't like it here that is certainly your perogotive but why do you not object elsewhere. You can simply not read the thread. Since you have posted here objecting to our taking of Hot Core to task may we now ask where you have been on other threads when Hot Core has insulted and made personal attacks us to no end? I expect to see all of you, now that you have committed yourselves to objecting to this "rediculous" thread, post in the same vain on other threads when Hot Core gets insulting and starts with personal attacks. He will you know but the question is will you? I think all of us on this thread look forward to your support to keep Hot Core's insulting personal attacks off all threads on AR. That would be nice. I completely agree and have been subjected to HC's uncalled for and nasty attacks in the past. I usually DO ignore him, as I am not going to waste time and energy with his kind of nonsense, but, Larry is right and I think that this thread is valid for the reasons he states. When, long ago, I was a kid, we had a saying, "Ya play with the bull, ya get the horn" and that, IMO, is what has happened here and, sadly, deservedly so. | |||

Larry, In general I agree with you. I also think this thread has value, and needs to be aired out. It's tempting to join in and slam Hot Core. IMO he's just an example, perhaps the most notorious example. I'll speak for my self here. The reaosn I don't join in is because I see that as clearly more disruption to an otherwise good thread. And I also see it as buying into HC's game. It's doing what he wants. Ignoring him is not easy, but that's the only way that I see will work with him. Other slammers are different. A converse attack, as a dose of their own medicine, will work only if the guy has a conscience, and gives a crap. You assume too much to think it will work all the time, IMO. I mean I've had a few personal attacks, I've attacked a few others ( almost entirely on the PF though, it must be said. ) but don't feel the need to follow people about abusing them. Larry I agree with your statement 101%. When I found this forum I went along asking questions and posting on questions asked if I had any on the point experience. It was enjoyable. Then out of left field come Buliwolf, also referred to in many other ways, and lands on my comments with both feet and rips me a new one. I responded back with some trash talk and that went on for a while until Buliwolf stopped the crap. Buliwolf and I have not exchanged insults due to the fact that he stopped the trash. He was replaced shortly by Hotsh$t with more trash talk and personal attacks to which I returned the talk. It's interesting when Hotsh$t pontificates on the vast impossible experiences and uses those so called experiences to attack with the trash talk. People here on the forum question those statements or because they are so outlandish, challenge them and then he responds with more trash talk. When someone stands up to the crap he dishes out, all of a sudden others of Hotsh$t camp-followers call foul and ask for an end to the challenges going back and forth??? The ball (sorry for that reference as we know........anyway) clearly lies in Hotsh$t's court. He will make outlandish claims and not respond to those you question them and will also continue with the trash. | |||

I've thought about the sticks and stones thing, and came to the conclusion that words are powerful, and should be chosen carefully, and they are a reflection on the author. They are tools, to be used wisely. IMO, they are actually very powerful, since essentially they are the foundation to all civilized societies and human interaction. IMO, it is not easy to ignore inappropriate words, used carelessly, and abusively. However it can be done, and in some cases should be done, but the choice to ignore or deal with it some other way is subjective. Sometimes one way works better than another. I also have concerns about being civilized, and the integrity of this fine forum. I would like to do my part to make it better. Of course, anything I can say or do toward that goal is subjective. So, I'm glad we're having this discussion, civilly, finally, whew. My post goes for everybody including HC. I've been insulted by some as well but have worked it out. I don't see the need to start a thread like this or enable the "tell me when so and so posts" button to chase them around in order to antagonize....... Talk about harrassment!
I disagree. I have found his input concerning handloading to be correct and helpful. As far as personal claims go, I haven't been concerned enough to pay attention.
As I say, my post is directed to everybody. I'm sick of seeing this behavior on good threads that I have an interest in.
I don't follow anyone. I have a good bullshit filter. I take on good information from every member of this forum. In fact, I can't think of any member I haven't learned something valuable from. I also don't take sides in any personal battles; only to argue facts hoping to come to a solution to a question posted. Hopefully all this discussion will result in everybody being more cordial. | |||
