Blue,
I have a question for you. After reading some comments about HA I went over and took a look at that thread with the spelling wizard, Daqotah or whatever his name is. I found this from you near the end.
Quote:

My original intention was to speak with Swamp. He never came on to talk. I am going back to AR where there is considerable interest in custom guns, which is my main interest, and which was why I started this thread in the first place, so that Swamp would let some of those good old boys that know a lot about custom guns back here.

Tell me what in the world made you think that any of us wanted to go back. I would not go back there for any reason. After all the effort you made, you were going to come back here with some personal pardon from Swamp and we were supposed to be thankful and go trotting back, hat in hand??? Boy, you went off on a mission that had no purpose my friend.

I do miss some of the folks there, Bill Mc, MickGa and a few others. Most of the simple qunsmithing questions had no answers. I would imagine, given time they may just make the walk over here.

Speculation on my part but I have been following DaQotas posts for a bit cause I have my doubts about him. To the best of my knowledge he showed up after the infamous banning night and I have not noticed any posts from him other then those that are either defending specific actions by Swamp or in support of him and his policies.

I think if you forget the cutting and pasting Swamp does, or if he would make a post with out any cutting and pasting he would sound just like DaQotas. I also see some significance in the name DaQotas (Dakota) as well. Swamp after all is the ultimate Dakota pimp.

Course I could be wrong, after all I am wrong about everything I have ever said about Swamp.

My advice on how to get banned posters back onto this forum?

Im thinking that this ship has already sailed and that it's way too late for them to apologize to Swamp...

But if there was still time,,,then...

You have to convince the banned posters that they have made a mistake, that the owner of this site was well within his rights to ban them, and that the banned posters will work to make sure that SWAMP understands that they repent of the problems that they had caused ...

Hows this for an apology swampy

Well that didn't take long Howard, one post after mine to prove a point.

Cold Bore, please enlighten me as to where in my thread you made the educated assumtion that I was defending swamp or in that case anyone? How can anyone read a question as a defense is beyond me. So why don't you go get someone so they can lay down for you, just don't include me in your petty games.

As most know, with the exception of Cold Bore, swamp and HA are the last things I would be defending. I made my choice to leave years ago because I could see the tides turning.

Mr. Smith, Howard and Chic.....it's always a pleasure talking with you. The one thing that I truely miss about leaving HA was your company and the company of a few others.

Howard,
Da quota, (maybe that is in reference to some number of people he wants to bounce out of there) was created very soon after the night of the banning. He shows nothing in his profile. I suspect that you are right. Swampie in drag, now that is not a pretty picture.

Jimmy where do you come up with all those wonderful internet things like devils flipping off swamp. Love it.

Skibum,

I'm in....tell me when and where. I'll bring the beer. I could bring my 16' and we could be nice and let the visitors ride in that rather than the tube, but I'm not sure I want Howard "fouling" up my boat!

Howard, good catch. I must need to climb on the clue bus...DuhQotah vs. Dakota. Hmmmmm. Someone who hasn't been banned and knows good knives should start questioning the pinhead on knife making. We'll find out in a hurry if it's typical LDMM bullshitting his way through, or if the guy actually knows about knifemaking. In either case, he's proven himself quite the swampgas slappy.

Blue, I've got to agree with Howard and Chic on this one. Although I greatly admire your moxie, ESPECIALLY in this crowd, there is no way in hell I'd go back there to post, even if LDMM asked nicely.

Oh Blue you don't know how much I want to go off on old Duh-Quatah aka Swamp aka Marshal Talbot but I promised you I would refrain from name calling. I will be content to just think them.

Question for you Blue, do you have any idea now where we are coming from?

PH, old friend, good to hear from you again. Hope all is well. I have had my head buried in checkering bench of late and don't come up often for air. And when I do it seems that all hell is breaking loose. I think we can blame it on Howard and Jimmy.

Skibum....

I know a few things about the knives I make.

I believe in the system that Ed Fowler has taught to me,,,I believe in the poutch sheath he helped my design....I believe in a min, of 12 oz leather for the sheath.

I believe in the Texaco type "A" quenching oil that I use, I have switched from the O/A torch to a LowBoy 3 burner forge for my heat-treatments....

I might be able to answer a few test questions....I would enjoy the chance...

The name?

Yes, DaQo'tah is just a odd way to spell Dakota. I change it from time to time.

a real nic-name I carry due to the state I was born in - North Dakota.

The odd spelling came about because of my website , and the type of blades I make.

(oh, and Im not known by any other name)

HOward, Customstocks, Jimmy, Cold Bore, Idared, Grandview, and Others both on this forum and on HA

This thread probably would never had gone this far if I would not have complained about calling people names on the internet. Probably would have lasted a day or two and then would have been gone.

My intent was never to cause such a big bruhaha. Only to make peace so that everyone could be on every forum, and so that Custom Guns and the love for Custom Guns would be promoted on every forum.

Looks like it didn't turn out that way, because the one person who should have joined this conversation did not. And that of course is Swamp. I have yet to hear from him.

Nevertheless, as I have stated in my postings, I have come to grow fond of you guys. You are a tough old bunch of critters. But deep down inside you guys have heart, a belief in the truth, the gumption to tell things like they are, and a soft spot for custom guns.

Life is good with friends like that.

ol'blue, I think this thread has been great. It has given those of us bad ass troublemaker's a chance to vent.
Hell blue, you can see we even give each other a hard time, we don't care, long as we can have fun and share our love for quality firearms.
Now as for knife maker's, always heard the term Gay Blade just didn't know what it meant.

Howard....

No I do not type the same thing over and over.No I do not type the same thing over and over....

I think that the people that are used to everybody agreeing with them are stunned when the DaQo'tah stands right in their faces and will not back down......ever..

They twist their questions , ever trying to make me see things their ways,,,But I am never moved, I can not be out-argued, I can not be out debated...and on top of this, I can post and post until the other guys have blood dripping from their ears,,,and still I will go on...

I do not have a need for people to like me, or to agree with me, infact Im known for pushing a conversation to the place where I want it to go and not giveing a hoot where others wanted to go.

I also am known for writeing in a way that is both easy for some to understand, and too hard for others to understand....

I dont know many things well,,,,But of the few things I do know, I do know them well......

I have spent some time this day reading about this cast and the way My posts got moved from where I placed them, to this place i did not even know of....I have been busy with my notes, getting to know people by what they have writen about me....very interesting.....

the need to be loved is a sickness...

I dont care what you think of me,,,I really dont care, I am not going to be known by the "friends" I suck up to, but by the stands I take and the way I write about my ideas.

People will never admit that the DaQ was right, however you will also note that whatever i post on, will be the "IT" topic to get in on....

Duh Qo Tah, for some reason, I don't find it hard to beleive that you have no internet freinds.
If you watch closely you will see that in some cases I will make a post that even you could understand.
You have made a point to come over here since ol'blue and a few others made you look like the fool you are. You would be much better off to re-name yourself Repeat.
