WEll, for what it is worth, watching this whole thing unfold, whether it was really swamp or not, if it was him, I think he may have a few valid points.

Howard - I see you as being a true gentleman who can be reasoned with.

Jimmy - you need some work (but I like your unending spirit)

If this really was Swamp, and if he were having some mental problems because of all of this, the proper thing would be to show a little respect for the situation, and not continue kicking a guy when he is down and almost out.

I cannot count the number of times I have had people tell me
"I just don't understand him" or "I just don't understand her". Well folks, the simple answer is that to really understand anyone else, all one has to do is understand oneself, because deep down inside we are mostly the same and mostly want and need the same things.

What happened here is, purely and simply, an escalation. It really doesn't matter who started it. It just got started. And then one person said something. And then another person said something. Then the first person got pissed and said something more. then the second person got pissed and said something more. then the third person chimed in and said something. then the fourth and the fifth, and on into the night. The testosterone kept flowing like a river in springtime, and by the time everything was over and done with nobody but nobody was really better off, and probably everybody was worse off.

You guys are all correct. It is none of my damn business, and it really doesn't matter to me if anyone goes back to Swamps site or not, or whether he lets anyone come back or not. I just hope that this entire exercise has shown how things can escalate and get out of hand, and how feelings can be hurt. I would hope that everyone would really think about that and step up to the plate such as Howard has done and attempt to try to stop the name calling and the foul langauge regardless of what anyone else is doing. As you learn when you are a child, just because the other kid jumped off the bridge doesn't mean you have to do so.

I know that I shouldn't enter into this, but I will anyway. There is no way that is Swamp posting on this thread. He writes in a manner that makes me think he is about to burst into tears at any moment. If you read his posts, they have a feminine emotional quality to them. Like he is always trying to appeal to your sensitive side.

At first, I thought it was the Swampster. But that last post was a bit much. I think someone is having a bit of fun.

Actually, I was shocked to see Swamp post at all, but now I'm afraid that he really hasn't after all....

Oh well.

"Will the real Swamp please stand up?"

This thread has been the best relief from the doldrums of checkering that I have had in a long time. My sides are just now recovering from the laughter.

One thing I can tell you, Jimmy may need some work but when you meet him you can't help but like the grizzled fart. Opps, make that elderly graying gas passer, lol.

I just saw you on another thread stating the very same thing I said, which is to refrain from kicking a guy when he was down and out.

What brings laughter to you here?

I call BS. I've met some people I simply can't understand.

Could you honestly say that you could sit down with one of the folks that flew the planes into the twin towers, and that you and he share the same basic needs and desires?

I think I can answer for Chic. Its funny cause he knows what is really going on. Its pretty funny cause ol Swamper is hardly even the issue anymore.

And yes he still does need to stand on his own two feet and offer to meet half way.

In response to "Bill Mc in drag"

Jimmy, I am drug free. The last time I was dragged, I really wasn't dragged but was more or less "tossed" and landed on my backside.

After I was "tossed"

Howard, if he is going to meet us halfway, I want to go on the tirp. By my dead reckoning, half way would put him in the middle of Lake Michigan. We can pick up Cayford and Ski bum on the way. I will bring my boat and you get a couple of cases of Alaskan Amber ..... hmmmm I am hearing echos of "homer likey" coming from Cayford. Bring 5 cases, make it 8. We will meet Swamp, drag a line and watch him dog paddle, or is it backpaddle. Whatever paddle he brings.

Blue you have been missing the fun on here taking this seriously. It is a lot funnier if you stand back and see what was happening.

No way this guy is swamp. But he sure is funny.

chic, real nice, going to the party half way and just cause as blue says, I need a little help, I'm not invited, whats up with this. I was gone for about two hours this afternoon as I stopped by the rehab center for a check up and it appears that I will be ok. They did agree with blue that I still need a little help but felt in another year or two that I would be allowed to live by myself, unsupervised, I was thrilled to say the least

Blue that's the spirit I knew you would come around. I told Jimmy he was wrong and that you where really an ok guy.

See that is the point, all us banned guys are good guys. Guys just like you, who like to talk guns and hunting and express and discuss opinions and different viewpoints like adults. Though we do reserve the right to poke fun and have fun with people who join the party but refuse to play by the rules. With Jimmy to lead the way we can stoop to any level to keep the playing field level.

Best wishes to you.

Jimmy glad to hear you will be ok.

Chic,
Just leave your boat at home. That way you can carry more Alaskan Amber. I'll take my boat and pick you up in Milwaukee. I got a GPS for Christmas so I want to try a lake crossing this summer

God, this is like watching a daytime soap. "But Dr., how can you do an exam with both hands on my shoulders?"... (Cue dramatic music)..."Because I'm not really a doctor" ( Cue more dramatic music)..."I'm really the doctors evil twin brother"...(Cue more dramatic music, remove mask)..."SWAMP!!!" (Da Da Da Da!!!)

Blue, you seem like a good and patient man. Stick around.

Jeff

You know this has given me a serious good idea here. Mid-July I think Chic, Howard, and Jimmy should all take a flight to Milwaukee. I will pick you up in Milwaukee and we will make the drive up to Two Rivers, WI where Jeff will pick us up. And we can fish in a Salmon derby. Beer is on Brasky.

Swamp

I have kind of been sticking up for you over on another site where a bunch of guys do not have a whole lot good to say about you. I say that no matter what, they should not be calling anyone names. Anyway, maybe it might be a good idea for all concerned if you were to come over to the other site and jive for awhile with me acting as moderator to try and keep the language clean and everyone on the real issues at hand. Would you be willing to come over there and have a discussion?

Kevin

So, has anyone gone to look at this HA thread lately? Did Swampster ever respond? Did his lackies rally round their leader & condemn all of us bad guys, while they professed their undying love & support of HA? Did he just delete it? What happened?

Posted by Swamp, I don't need to fire 100 shots to know when a scope isn't holding... You can tell with a half dozen shots..

The holes in blk represent the vari x-iii 3.5-10..

The holes in white show the zeiss conquest 3-9 shots Posted by Swamp.

Hey Swamp I hate to bust your chops because I think youre a heck of a nice guy, but I am going to do it anyway. Your last post saying that that was the only target you shot with the two scopes only reinforces my point. There is no way, with the testing you have done and presented to us, to prove anything about the scopes. To continue to beat your chest with your claims about the inability of the Conquest to hold zero really calls into question your integrity. Posted be me.

Swamps reply, Howard, How many shots does one need to show a scope isn't going to group.. I was shooting exceptionally careful and on an ideal day and couldn't get that thing to group..

So you see? He admits he only shot on group the one above with a Zeiss conquest and that is proof that Conquest scopes dont hold zero and his justification for continually knocking Zeiss every chance he gets. The Dakota thread was very similar only in that case Dakota could do no wrong. Think that has anything to do with Dakota being an advertiser? Think the Zeiss bashing has to do with their refusal to be an advertiser?

So you see Blue and others, its this kind of statements that were questioned and when we pressed for serious answers and didnt accept cut and paste or silence good Ol Swamp brought out the ban button.

Once Dakota became a paid advertiser he deleted every derogatory remark that he ever made about them as well. This is very well documented and many posters remember his remarks that were very negative towards Dakota arms.
