Those rifles are as nice as the three on display at the Rock Island Auction Co. display at DSC. Does any one remember the calibers? 3 consecutively serial numbered H&H rifles cased with everything you could possibly think of including 5 oil/solvent bottles. Shootaway: Explain the discrepancy in the wood to metal fit on the left side of the receiver of your rifle, please. The lower fitting seems fair but how about the gap at the top? I just checked my rifle and those spots on the action are nothing but oil.The barrel is perfect. That grey spot must be the light reflection.Screws on the bottom look good to me.The only blueing that is weathered is the one under the left chamber and that is my fault.I was a little too rough with it during the first cleaning where I had alot of JB and grit on my left hand that held the barrel as I scrubbed the bores.I am not used to cleaning a double-I usually hold the stock grip when I clean by bolt rifle. | |||
