That's not necessarily true. We have learned how not to behave if you want to be a valued, contributing member of the forum. We have also learned to listen to our PH and be patient. We have learned that there is a reason that even Canadians refer to Quebec as Queerbec. Beyond that, your right, pretty much we have not learned much of anything from George and his petulant behavior.

Mac - That's a beautiful Heym!

Shootacow: I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your cherished Searcy isn't very pretty... I am a fan of Butch's, but think he should focus on the nicer guns. At $8,500 (what you paid for yours), a Merk is a much better buy. I also understand that Butch is looking to retire... Guess that cures the problem of a lifetime warrantee. I'll stick with a bigger company.

I see you screwed up on the shape of the rear stock and the contour of the barrels-what a shame.
The overall shape of my Searcy is tops over yours.
Then there is the shooting part of which the Searcy rifles have an excellent reputation.
I will take my rifle over a truck load of yours anyday!

Did you go to California? I thought that fire sale at $8,900 was for a bare bones nothing special rifle. The same reason there are no intercepting sears. BTW, don't drop it when it's loaded. Eeker

OK, let's quantify this shall we.

Here's a list of people I've "hunted with". Could you point out the "clowns" please.

Brett Barringer
Andrew Baldry
My wife Joyce
Johnny du Plooy
Milan Lambrechts
A few Yu'Pik friends from bush Alaska
John Muir (not the famous one) from bush Alaska
Jena (Brett's fiance')
John (Buddy I grew up with)
Steve Medvid (Also from my youth)

Now, should you decide to identify any of these folks as clowns please be specific in providing your personal experience with them that brought you to that conclusion.

It speaks volumes about the intelligence of someone that says they would rather have an entry level Searcy over a Holland and Holland Royal. I am 100% confident that not even Butch would make such a asinine statement.

Shootacow? Just substitute .500 NE Searcy for sling blade. You'll see what I mean.

They even look very similar..

Fellas:
I enjoy greatly AR and the topics discussed herein. Some of the personality types I find amusing and some distasteful. I read over and over again some clown write of his huge elk, his man- killing in 'Nam, and his cowardly attacks on a well-known PH. Then a joker with the moniker of .45-70 Shooter pissed off everyone until he departed. But Shootaway is far and away the biggest Richard Cranium (dick head) I have ever run across in any forum, classroom, or my personal life. I am truly sorry of those who have to be in his life on a daily basis. I can only think of the words to a famous Dylan song and it's last verse to write my disdain for Shootaway: Positively 4th Street.

"I wish that for just one time you could stand inside my shoes
And just for that one moment, I could be you.
Yes, I wish that for just one time, you could stand inside my shoes,
You'd know what a drag it is to see you."

Too bad Dr. Kevorkian is not here to offer medical advise.
Cheers and I appreciate you all.

Cal,

I've found the below to be a very effective way in fact the only way of dealing with shootacow. If everybody would simply but the worthless SOB on ignore he'd go away. As it is folks are simply feeding his pathological need for negative attention.

This IMHO^^^^ is absolutely the solution to dealing with a nasty POS like shootacow ESPECIALLY if he is getting under your skin.

Cal,

I'm with you 100% regarding George "shootaway" Bazos. Personally, I'm sick of the son of a bitch absolutely RUINING every single thread he gets involved in and comments on. To the best of my knowledge, the guy has never, not once offered a single tidbit of sound advice or valuable knowledge to the discussion. Simply put, George has been good for absolutely NOTHING but insulting and slandering men of character on this forum, instigating and stirring the shit at every opportunity. Unfortunately, he eventually brings out the worst in all of us who choose to engage him. Others have been removed from this site for far less than the lack of respect and vulgarity he demonstrates to fellow members here. I can't say I'm proud of the way I've responded to him at times here on the forum, but I do believe he deserves every bit of animosity he has brought upon himself. I apologize to all of you other guys if I've offended in any way in my responses to George, but like I said, I'm sick of this asshole ruining the forum.

There is a plethora of commentary I would love to direct to George, but I'm convinced this bastard isn't intelligent enough to comprehend the level of contempt I actually have for him, nor would he understand why. I'm not petitioning for his banishment, but really would like to see him realize that he is no longer welcome, not valued, not liked, not regarded, and above all, despised for the way he has treated people on this site in response to offering sound advice and help, especially on the occasions he has asked for such. His calling respected members liars is what finally convinced me that this is no longer a comedy routine. Personally, I can't stand him!

George, get a clue ... just go away!

BTW JDA, I met him last year at SCI. Yes, he is indeed a man of small stature. Both physically and in terms of influence.

What a beautiful pair of rifles. Thanks Markschu for posting.

Interesting choice for photograhic background!

They seem expensive, but there is a lot of engraving there by Phil Coggan. Wonder what replacement cost would be?

9lbs 9oz appears light for a 470 double.

On a technical note, early H&H Royal's, say pre-WW1, have a large screw just behind the fences. Anybody know what this was for? When did they change? Royals from the early '20's don't have them.

Thanks, Chris

In six words you truly have provided the answer to the gentleman. BRILLIANT

To see him go away however would be sad, it is truly like the Saturday Morning favorite cartoon shows of my youth. He is Bugs Bunny and the Road Runner all rolled up in one.

Just try to never lower yourself to his level.

Difficult advice to follow but my Father always said " if you have nothing nice to say then it is better to say nothing".

In regard to the OP, I would hunt with these rifles any day! They were meant to be hunted not just looked at!

Shootthecrap, you need help son! Your Searcy bottom of the line rifle is OK, and a very serviceable hunting rifle, but I can assure you it is not an example of Butch's best work. Considering the price it is about all you could hope for, however. Enjoy your rifle, and stop all this insanity. You know that the crap you are spouting is simply bullshit, no other way to say it!
