GTR,

Send me your email address and I will forward the exact emails posted. You than can confirm to all AR members that the emails from Nixon are authentic.

I do not know why the names are in bold, that is the way Nixon sent them to me. In addition, please send a PM to llampacker to be sure he received the emails or read them on this post.

May I suggest dropping the chest pumping, brow beating an allowing the two parties to settle the matter thru the courts?

Glad that you decided to add your part of the "old women sticking their noses into the mix for no better service then to inflate their own feelings of self importance .... chest pumping, brow beating" .... now care to add something constructive to the "old women sticking their noses into the mix for no better service then to inflate their own feelings of self importance ... chest pumping, brow beating"?! You're only about 3 weeks behind, excuse please! Sorry, but your post was much of the same!!!!!! coffee

With the global financial situation and Nixon trying to fill his hunts, this person cut him to the quick for the cost of this safari. When he contacted me I told him I did not see any way he could go hunting for the animals he wanted and the prices he wanted to pay. I had him contact Nixon directly to finalize the costs. When I say he wanted cheap, I mean CHEAP! It was as bad as when the packers were offering farmers a few years ago $25 for a hog. I have also kept all of our e-mails.

This guy hunted with SSG Safaris/Nixon Dzingai in summer 2009. He hunted 13 days killing 2 Buffalo,2 Elephants,1 Leopard,2 Klipspringers, 1 Croc and 1 Giraffe. He did pay a deposit for the hunt before he arrived. When he left Zimbabwe he paid Nixon $9,000 in American Express Travelers Cheques. He promised to send Nixon the balance of the trophy fees for the animals he killed when he got back to the states. Not only has he not paid for the animals, but he reported the AmeX TC's "STOLEN"

This matter has caused big problems for SSG Safaris because they have had to pay the government for the animal's trophy fees this guy killed. This is a lot of money they have had to cover out of their own pockets! The total he owes is $26,490. I have held back posting this information in hopes that his concience would get the best of him and he would make good on his debt.

I will post his name when the time is appropriate.

I would like to know what you guys think of this situation. What should be done about this cheat and liar.

dukxdog,

As it was this (your) post that has set into motion numerous posts, thousands of views and who know what else, as the "North American Contact for SSG Safaris (Nixon Dzingai)", what is your position now? It appears that several of the recent safaris conducted by the Ph which you represent have been conducted illegally. Just look at the hunt reports of SBR and HKittle. While not certain, one could easily surmise that the hunt for llamppacker was illegally conducted as well. As the "North American Contact" what is your position on these alledgely illegal hunts and do you think that your clients should pay for an illegal hunt if they were unaware of said illegality? Were you aware that Nixon was allowing Simon to PH dangerous game? Just a lot of questions/concerns for the guy who cast the first stone.....

My friend,

I can only assume you are new to this whole internet thing. If I may assist, it has been my observation that it is common if not preferable to wildly gesticulate, speculate, postulate, aggravate, insinuate and obfuscate based on incomplete, little or no facts, and a drought, nay, a desert of logic or common sense.

Additionally, assuming responsibility for ones own written words is not only considered bad form, but for the sake of the entertainment of ones self as well as the rest of the forum members is vigorously defied.

Thank you for allowing me to reply to you in such a shameless toungue-in-cheek manner. I will not forget it, and will gladly reciprocate.

Do you seriously think Phifer is the victim here?

Have your read the post of "what would you do if?"

Give me a break. Does anyone here think this whole thing would have been an issue if Phfier shot a 50 lbs ele???

The guy shoots the wrong elephant, gets another one, and still isn't happy. Reports his TCs stolen.

Unreal.

The whole "illegal" hunt scenario is just a smokescreen raised by Phifer and his fellow travelers. While there may or may not have been some hunting with Simon, his son, acting as the guide, who was damaged? The answer, no one. AFA I know, the game taken, whatever it was, if any was legal and exportable. The rule or law, if it is such, is to protect hunters in the event of a charge, etc. No doubt it is a good law, but, in this case, nothing untoward happened, so there was no harm done. An analogy would be a cruise ship that accidentally or on purpose sailed with a load of passengers with inoperable, not enough, or whatever problem with the lifeboats BUT they didn't have an accident and all returned safely. True, there was a violation of safety regulations, but there was no harm done and likely the passengers never knew of their peril. Phifer is a dead beat, and an embarrassment to us all.

xxxxxxxxxx
When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

I have no idea what you just said. Probably due to my "desert of logic or common sense" or being "new to this whole internet thing"! Give me a break. Allow me to further,"speculate,postulate,aggravate"... you must have hunted with Nixon/Simon????

AZwriter,

The Phifer matter is a completely seperate issue. I am just interested in the agents thoughts on "alleged" illegal hunting by the company he respresents. It justs seems there are a lot more "bad apples and rotten eggs" involved here other than Phifer.
