In good weather a while back, tested
a high speed sabot load in 700H.
I shot a 3/4 oz Federal 12ga sabot that I shaved down to .700 from .729, going
about 34-3500 from the Enfield. I hear MRC
getting closer with the PH action.Ed

Got the 700H just about done in Savage 210.
Actually easier to do than 12GA. Don't
have to make cutout for rimmed extractor.
It will get same max power as the first one done in Enfield--825gr at 2600+. Will have
picture soon, it's on a thumbhole stock.
MRC as they related last Monday, maybe will
have PH actions in 3-4 months.Ed

at MRC, so any of you wantigng a big thread
on th eaction for my 700H or other big cases
let them know, if you are on the list.
They plan on making big threaded ones along
with regular threaded ones.Ask for a
1.2 inch x 16 thread. Ed

Here is pic of my 585BHE and a Trex.
Mine holds 15 gr more than Trex of heavy ball
powder. That's a great reason I didn't want to
cut it off. This case and my 700 gives 2
great choices for PH actions. I have both in
Enfields. Ed

Ed, Any ETA on the 700 HE reamer?
Pac-Nor just called and my barrel will ship today. Since the actions are still not shipping I will get it chambered locally.
FYI, Pac-Nor has another 700 barrel on the shelf ready to go. Customer had ordered a .729 and it went thru as a .700. In stock no waiting ID # 345

more coming. Whenever your smith is ready
I'll get one to you. And will get one to
Pacnor before PHs are out.

I got my long 700 HE case chambered barrel
finally in a bmg size action. It is barrel
I locked onto an I-beam and got all the
load developement done over the last couple
years. It weighs 27 lbs, thumbhole, a reinforced
wrist, recoil ring on front of stock.Ed

Here is side view of the 700HE, it is a
shellholder style, bmg size, bolt action.
Thunbhole stock has bolts through wrist, butt is
weighted, barrel is 1.7" at breech, 1.2" at
muzzle. Barrel started as a 2" breech. 1 to 22
twist, made by Pacnor. Barrel used as test barrel first.
In the pic are 3 cases, the center one is what
the gun is chambered in. First person who asks the

MRC is getting PH stuff heat treated and last little parts
made. Maybe by Christmas.I should have dies a going before
actions get done.
Shootin a few in the 700HE long and I'm very happy the thumbhole
stock works great. 27lb gun helps. 825gr at 2800 shoots fairly
easy. No brake, just a long heavy barrel. Ed

MRC is hoping to start delivering PH actions
next month. I think they have couple prototypes
at Orlando Shot Show. Getting closer.
Dies for my 585HE will be ready in 3 weeks or so,
and I'll have some here. Then he'll do my
700H 3.25" dies. It goes slow when you can't
dump a truckload of money on them so they can drop
everything else to work just making our stuff.Ed

We will have actions soon for 700H
as Jeff posted in other thread. I have barrel
ready to thread, stock needing only a
little inleting, barrel channel all done.
And I have load developement done for 700H
in other two guns setup here, the Enfield
and Savage 210. One load is even a saboted one
using bpi 12ga sabots and a reduced diameter
50cal lead slug in it. Loads also for jacketed
825gr and 1000gr.Ed

For those interested in doing my 585 in a PH or
other actions we got reloading dies now. Made by CH4D
CH4D has some more dies and is set up to make more.
You can get dies from CH4D or me. Also have bunch of reamers.
I'll loan use of reamers for chambering, and anyone
doing one I give a few cases to get started.
Once a few of us are going, Jamison can make a run of cases.
Second pic is of dies, reamers, and part of cases I have.
You or smith can use reamer and return to me
as I have a guy who can keep them sharpened, for next guy.
I have it in 3 guns, a Big Enfield, a BBK Ultra Mag,
and a Ruger 77. The 602 would do fine, like new CZs.
I'm going to do one in Ruger #1 later on.
Third pic is the Ruger. This cartridge is good for
7000 to 13,000 ft lbs, Loads all tested.Brass will reload
couple dozen tmes due to it straight belted design.
Case has perfect taper, as they with heavy loads, come out
of chamber with just the weight of the bolt. Ed
