Dude, you're so far from understanding the African Culture (Political Culture), that no amount of explaining it to you, will change that.

You don't give a damn about african culture. You want to control hunters and what lions they kill. You don't give a damn what lions the africans kill and they kill more than the sport hunters do.

You think I'm the one who's avoiding the fight?? Well please my friend, either get in the game or keep standing on the sidelines, what's it gonna be?

If talking to you about real issues that threaten lion huntings future is just standing on the sidelines then that means you are just sitting on the sidelines too.

First off, if you really understood how much the preservation of lion hunting and all African hunting is the fight, and is how WE can deal with the REAL issue, you would understand what the issue really is.

Funny you have spoke of this mythical "real" issue here but you never define it.

Do you not find it a bit odd, that everyone else disagrees with you?
Five people, one who talked shit about a person simply because he is a relative of mine, one who sells 4 lion hunts for every 1 lion he has on quota, a guy who thinks volunteering time to SCI and Du makes him more of a conservationist than me, the leader of the LCTF who doesn't want to take on any other issues besides what he deams as bad lion sport hunters, and one guy who's only post was to talk shit. And not one of them has been able to answer my questions.

The ones that have been fighting and working on this issue, the ones that have studied and understand the science, the ones that have spent years in the field studying, hunting and observing the lion, the ones that have PHD's, the ones that have used that education/field experience to develop sound scientific data refutting your arm-chair quarterback opinion, etc, etc. Everyone I know, all the scientists, hunters, PH's, and concerned citizens who have looked at, reviewed and understand the issues ALL agree. But according to you, we are ALL wrong? The science is wrong, the way we deal with the problems are wrong, our position on the political issues are wrong, were just WRONG! Or could it be, just possibly, that you're WRONG??

Right and Wrong???? You think childish judgement is how this is defined??? Go look at hunting areas that have had well managed quotas that are not corrupted and see their lion population. They have shot young lions, old lions, lioness and it has remained sustainable. Why won't you acknowledge that? Why aren't any scientists studying that? I am not in a battle over right and wrong, I am in a battle to tell people to look at a big picture and real issues and quit having a battle dictated to them.

You know Ben, one thing I learned along time ago is this. The person who thinks he knows it ALL, is only showing everyone just how little he actually knows. But, it can be hard to recognize when everyone else really is "SMARTER THAN U"!!

Now you are just being a smart ass, and that won't help anyone.

I'm headed to the gym now, my frustration level with you is through room. I'm sure you'll tell me how I should be working out too. But since I spent years as an amateur body-builder, I think I've got that one figured out. But your welcome to throw in your $0.02 opinion!

jesus, I did not think we had to convince the hunters that poisoning lions was a bad thing.I still do not. I unlike you think they are smart enough to know that is something that we will deal with as best we can by trying to get the people using it to stop.

Excellent. Please share with me the plan to convince people not to use poison.

I never bet you on who was the bigger conservationist. I bet you I have spent more and donated more to DU and SCI than you have. Go back and read.

you interpretated that as the bigger conservationist not me. I never used those words you did. You can't admit you are wrong when it is obvious that you made a mistake.

STU - Obviously you're right, we're ALL wrong, and we can & should all agree on that!

Secondly, the BIGGEST issue facing the lion is habitat loss/human encroachment, period! Now I'm sure I'm wrong about that too! Hunting, and Lion Hunting in particular is the ONLY thing stopping/slowing this unfortunate train wreck across much of Africa, not all, but much. The full explanation of which, I have made on previous threads. If you read em, you'll understand my point!

I'm certain you have donated more money than Gerry has, to DU or any other organization. Even though Gerry is a friend and client of mine, one who has booked exactly $154,000.00 worth of hunts with me, just in the past 4 weeks alone, with deposits paid! I just happen to know a little about his financial position, and his generosity to DU/SCI over the past. But certainly, you know for a fact that you have donated more than him? Not that it matters, but I think it shows that you are willing to say anything, whether you know its true or not!

You obviously know more than Dr. Easter about the science of animals, even though he's a large animal VET who specializes in that sort of stuff.

You obviously know more about the science behind the lion than all of the leading lion scientists in the world, that's quite an accomplishment!

Lastly my friend, and pay close attention to this one! You obviously know more about me and my business practices than anyone else, as well! I'm fine with a spirited debate, and I appreciate that you disagree with what we say. That's part of life, that's part of any controversial issue. Obviously I would rather you help us, that standing over there throwing stones at us, but I can't make you do what you don't believe in.

But let's you and I get one thing real FUCKIN straight! If you are gonna accuse me of unethical business practices, like selling more lion hunts than what quota is available for, I suggest you have some proof to back up your claim? That kind of crap is crossing the line! First and foremost, I have always been very much against that, and I have made no bones about it, with any potential outfitter I have ever worked with. That's scumbag bullshit! Second, your unsubstantiated claim, could be regarded as slanderous. And third, I suggest you hop your happy ass in the truck with your brother, when he comes up here this fall for his eastern Plains deer hunt, and look me in the eye and accuse me of being unethical in the treatment of my clients! Obviously that's one lesson you've never been taught.

I'm done with you! Some people just can't see the "forest for the trees"!
