WOW.
I've talked to so many people that say they've killed 60" Kudu that I just don't believe any of them. I've seen hundreds of Kudu, taken a few, but never have I seen anything close to a 60". I asked Johnnie Johnson once how may 60" kudu he's been in on (he's been hunting over 50 years in Zim. and Moz.), he said 2 out thousands.
You've got a real trophy there that not many will measure up to.
Congradulations.

AH,

And Johnnie Johnson has been around the block...if he hasn't seen many, there aren't many.

I have killed more than several Kudu over the years. It is my all time favorite African game animal. I can tell you without fear of lightening that I have seen 2 killed that were over 60" and several more in the wild that might have even been better. One was killed near Turk Mine by a hunter from British Columbia who actually didn't want to shoot it. The PH talked him into it because it was so big. Sadly mine have all been in the high 50's with the largest 58" ,I believe. All my hunting has been in Zimbabwe. The one pictured is my idea of the perfect trophy Kudu almost parallel horns and not overly wide at the tips and over 60".

WOW....WOW....WOW....Congratulations from the bottom of my heart! I am so happy for you!! I am one of those LUCKY rascals that KNOW the life long pleasure of getting a KUDU trophy that nice. When I come into the living room it just sings to me all the time. It gets better with time! ....and I believe that as time passes for you, that trophy will just get better and better. My Kudu is the only trophy I have that means something to me, that one of my family was not present for. The rest of them are mostly dead stuff on the wall.
I will pray for your sanity until old blue eyes finally returns from the taxidermy man!
