Todd, Your 300 will work just fine but the 375 is even better. I know Tia will be using her 375.
I am a fan of Nosler Partitions but also like the 270 gr Barnes TSX and 300 Swift A-frames as well.


Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

I would guess yes. Brownies have been taken with .30-06s if not less (not that I would suggest that).

A couple of years ago I saw a hunting show where a hunter took a pretty big brownie in AK with a .300 RUM. First shot he took out the shoulders and the second shot he went for the vitals. All this took place from about 100 yards.

IMO, if you use the 300, you should use heavy (200-220gr) premium softs that group well with your rifle.
