I just returned from a great hunt in BC at Moose Valley. That was about 8 hours north of Prince George. Shoshone Wilderness Adventures booked the hunt for me. I wanted a good a good mature mt goat and a 50" plus Canada moose if possible. We packed back in 25 miles on horses and stayed in 2 little cabins by a beautiful river. We spotted some goats way up on the way in, so I was pumped. The terrain was gorgeous but steep. 1st day, we got up (sore) and ate. We could glass a far ridge and basin and spotted a goat. We eventually got out the spotting scopes and the guys thought it was a good one. So off we went. Here is me in camp pointing out where the billy is on the ridge. Here is a scenery shot as we went up the mountain. To make a long story short, we climbed a lot up and over 2 different ridges. We found the goat, got to 385 yards, and started cutting the distance. Here he is from there. We closed in to 270, and I felt I could take him, but we found another spot we thought we could get to somewhat closer. It was really windy, and there was a snow storm rolling in between us and the next mountain, so we were pressed for time. I finally crawled up to a rock that was 162 yards from the goat. The wind was cross and he was looking away. I settled in, he looked toward me a couple of times, and I hammered him. I was shooting my new TC ICON in .30 TC, and he just got up and couldn't really move much. I went into auto pilot, and I shot him again in the shoulder. That toppled him, but I wasn't thinking about where he would fall. He fell over out of view, and I just knew he was 2000 feet below. I was so lucky...there was a shelf 20 yards below, and he was right there. Great 9 1/2" Billy aged at 9.5 years old. His cape was great and I was really pumped. We walked out all in the dark to the bottom, and it was after midnight when we got to the cabin. It was one of the physically hardest days of my life, but it was great. We then switched to moose. We set up in numerous meadows and around the river for a few days- listening and calling. We just didn't see anything, and only heard 2 cows. Then late one afternoon, we were sitting by the river, and Leaf one of my guides said he heard a bull. His dad Ron called some, and a few minutes later, a bull appeared on the far bank from the thick timber. I ranged him at 164 yards, and the guys said he was a good one. He acted like he was coming into the river, which would have been bad. He then backed out and started down the other bank, but was coming closer. I was using my new TC Endeavor muzzleloader, and I wanted him to keep coming. The guides urged me to shoot, as they said he could get in the river or just step back in the timber and disappear. Better safe than sorry, so when he was around 150 yards, I hammered him. It was a good heart shot. He walked about 15 yards and tipped over dead. The bull was 51" wide and aged at 8 1/2 years- about 1600 pounds. I was pretty pleased though I know the area holds even bigger bulls. We had to bring in 3 pack horses to get him out the next day. We got both kills on the big HD camera and the footage is outstanding. The hunt was excellent is my final estimation. We were blessed with great weather - only 1 day of rain. I even got home 2 days early. I think we were a little early for the moose rut, but it all worked out. Good Hunting, Tim Herald Worldwide Trophy Adventures tim@trophyadventures.com

Some pictures are deffinatly worth a thousand words, and the one of the goat resting on top of the ridge told the story for me. I could picture myself there, Close, Heart beating heavy, working out how to get closer and knowing that if he see's you, all he has to do is step off the edge and you've lost him. Excellent!
