Either Olivier's speech in King Henry V: ACT IV identified previously.

OR any speech near the end of a Spencer Tracy movie. After achieving stardom, he always had a stirring speech near the end.

I love the Second Hand Lion scene, but for the ultimate Sales motivations speech, nothing trumps this:

It is judgement that defeats us, so says the Lord of the flies. The best motivational speach for doing what is right, in my view. Judgement, justice has you by the balls...

Had to watch the LOTR, the Return of the King last night (Wife and Daughters favorite movie series), and the speech that Aragorn gives just prior to the final battle is pretty damn good.

Cheers, Dave.

+2 St. Crispin's Day Speech. And my favorite, while not a speech, is William Barret Travis' letter from the Alamo.

These two in my opine, are some of the finest prose ever written in the English Language.

Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.

Dear Madam,–

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

That is pretty motivational to me! Not a speech, but would make me "charge hell with a bucket of water"!

In college, I actually researched this "letter" to see if it were real. I couldn't find anything to say it was, but have to admit that is is eloquent to the millionth degree and gives me goose bumps.

Love it.

Of course these are not quite on par with Bluto Blutarsky's "Was the war over when Germany bombed Pearl Harbor?"

Got to go with Patton or Braveheart.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.

I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.
