I have indeed only seen one full bedding (as done on my 300 H&H Mauser) and was not aware of the many different ways of bedding, and I am just as surprised to see that bullets could be so far off spec that you placed. Obviously I do know about the differences in the 7 mm bullet family (.284 vs .285). Was the .303 bullet a custom bullet or one of the commercial factory brands?

So, I am big enough to admit that I was wrong (and ignorant) and I apologize to you, as you have illustrated your point very well in deed. I have learned something new. Thanks, and once again my apology.
