Most of the world would agree that an arms race in the Middle East and a Nuke power in the hands of the revolutionary guard and the Mullahs is bad. I think Israel is doing the world a favor. The IRGC has had its hands in many horrible things. A long time ago chemical weapons were used in fighting wars. That they have been used to kill soldiers is bad enough but more recently leaders of countries have used them on their own people and in other states to kill off people with opposing political views. Just because we had them and used them a generation ago should every state now try to develop them? There is a huge difference between Iran and Gaza. Iran has military facilities that stand alone. Where as in Gaza Hamas has not been too fussy about actively using the civilian population as a shield. Iran could only do that at risk of internal uprising. With Iran 70% of the population self describe as non religious. That's another factor. | |||

I'm skeptical about these Israeli attacks causing the Iranian people to revolt against their regime. I think it's more likely they will rally around their country against the attacker. I remember when we were told the Iraqis and Afghanis would welcome our armed forces with open arms. | |||
