It seems that the current Iranian regime is near the end. How much longer do they have? Predictions? I think a population uprising will take place soon and the religious rule will be gone in days. It’s probably a fait accompli
Should have taken them all out including Khomeini
Iran could be great country with free people with free market but then look at Venezuela,Brazil etc.

A long time ago chemical weapons were used in fighting wars. That they have been used to kill soldiers is bad enough but more recently leaders of countries have used them on their own people and in other states to kill off people with opposing political views.
Just because we had them and used them a generation ago should every state now try to develop them?
Is it not a worthy goal to try to prevent their proliferation? ...and no I don't count Bush II's vanity war as legitimate either.

The Nukes though is only part of it, isn't it. Iran has been waging war on Israel for decades through Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis. Who have been directly attacking Israel.
I feel no sorrow for the regime and the consequences that have come down on them. Nukes or not. But given their history its hard not to believe they would not attack in a more forceful way if they had the protection of nukes.

There is a huge difference between Iran and Gaza. Iran has military facilities that stand alone. Where as in Gaza Hamas has not been too fussy about actively using the civilian population as a shield. Iran could only do that at risk of internal uprising.
With Iran 70% of the population self describe as non religious. That's another factor.

RolandtheHeadlessI'm skeptical about these Israeli attacks causing the Iranian people to revolt against their regime. I think it's more likely they will rally around their country against the attacker.
I remember when we were told the Iraqis and Afghanis would welcome our armed forces with open arms.
