#55 is still available!!

Christmas is coming and unless you think you are on Saeed's list to receive one of the ten he generously bought it might be time to get yours now.

Sounds like those who have gotten theirs not only think the print to be beautiful but also a great reminder of stepping up for a really good cause.

So who's up for #55?

Gents,

Was the drawing held for the winner of the hunts? Thinking no, because I was certain to win. No notification yet...

Just a heads up. Beretta682E is a stand-up guy. I received my S&W MP15 today. Cabelas in Glendale AZ did a seamless transfer job as is the norm.

Gonna go make some noise in the quiet of the Arizona deserts tomorrow.

Thanks Beretta!!!

What is the difference between the S&W MP15 and the Colt AR-15 A2 Sporter II?

I was given a Colt last week, and from the few rounds I have shot it I am very impressed with it.

Thanks Steve

Saeed - very similar mil spec semi auto AR-15. If you like the colt - they are some very good high end ar-15 - Larue for example.

For plinking they shoot really well with Eotec sights.

I have an original Colt M16A1 which I have changed the barrel on for a heavy barrel match barrel.

We installed a Leupold 6.5-20X scope on it, and it really shoots really well.

But, it is very heavy.

Saeed - you should check out the .308 AR platform guns. They are heavier but they shoot really good.

I have a sig 716 and it shoots really well for gun with a 16 inch barrel.

Would be a perfect culling rifle for plains game.

For the AR platforms, my editor got in a whole array of them for an article he did last year. From Low end to the High priced upper end and, imho, the Ruger SR556 outperformed them all. That coming from a person that is not a Ruger fan. Accurate, cool running and dependable.

I received my print this week. Very nice! Thanks to all involved! I also received Mark Sullivan's first book and a copy of Mark's latest video. I haven't had time to watch it yet. I wasn't expecting them, so it was a very nice surprise!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

I've been slowly reading Mark's book. He says why he does the things he does, but I don't see anything he's been accused of on here.

Many thanks to him and all those contributing to Stu and his recovery.

You have probably quite by accident started another pissin match about MS.

We have expanded the original 50 to the rockin 55 for your signature to be affixed to the copy going to Stu.

IF you hurry you can make it under the wire. Purchase a print, make a difference and let know Stu that you and the AR family care.

Received Mark's book and DVD. It is autographed to my wife Julie and wishes her 'Great Hunting' which she thought was amusing considering she is a vegetarian.

It is the thought that counts and cheers Mr Sullivan for the generous contribution.

S&W is a pretty fine action, it was the first AR lower to win the High Power Rifle Nationals at Camp Perry and I believe Carl Bernosky is still using the S&W action to be first loser or National Champ every year since.

Guys - This is gonna sound stupid, but what is the "Reader's Digest" version of this entire thread?

I've been non-stop hunting/guiding since mid October, and am lost here - but interested in the whole thing?

Really appreciate it!
