Well I have outfitted hunts for both Craig and Jim and in that experience they are both standup guys. Both of them always paid their bills!! I guided Jim just a few months ago in fact.

In regards to CB not listing the value of personal property such as firearms and taxidermy in his BK filing, the smart thing to do would have been to liquidate all these things into cash before the filing in order to pay off debts that can't be discharged in a BK. You wouldn't want to advertise this to the public either since it could lead to a fire sale. I don't know what assets his corporation might own, but I doubt if it includes book or DVD royalties. If the corporation doesn't have him to run it, then I doubt it would even be worth one dollar. His BK petition may be accurate.

Gunscore a 30,000 feet bankruptcy law/process view

Fraudulent Conveyance prevents a debtor from disposing assets selectively prior to seeking bankruptcy protection.

In my personal and professional financial transactions/asset purchases I always keep an eye out for fraudulent conveyance. Often when things are very cheap - they might not bring full legal ownership rights with it especially when the seller seeks bankruptcy protection.

That is all we need now.

Shooting domestic cattle rotflmo

Once hunting in South Africa, the farmer asked if I could shoot some domestic bulls that had gone wild.

I told him I would me very happy to do so, as long as I did not have to pay for them.

Sadly, we never saw any!

Funny Saeed

In Bostwana (Kanana) I was offered the opportunity to shoot cattle that had recently gone feral. I was offered cull with no trophy fees.

We tired hunting/culling for 1/2 a day saw tracks but no cattle. We hunted pretty hard but nothing.

Next year I want to go shoot one of these cows if they are still there.

You might think it is OK to denigrate other people's hunting traditions but I would guess a lot of other AR members will think that is just very poor form. thumbdown thumbdown How about you show a bit of respect for other people's hunting culture eh?? RUDE!!!!

No mate - that is what we would call a scrub bull - wild cattle. They have been running around the Northern Territory for >160 years. This isnt something dreamed-up by outfitters for visiting hunters... Aussie hunters are just as interested in them as they are in buffalo - which says a lot, I think.

Banteng looks quite a bit different.

Matt,

Did you get out of wrong side of the bed today?

Ease up mate!

I thought you lot had a sense of humour!

So it is a tradition to shoot cattle in Australia now is it?

Reminds me of the time I mentioned to my father that they shoot camels in Australia1

I won't tell you what he said, in your current frame of mind you mind have a heart attack clap

That was tongue in cheek mate.

Young Bell Cross and I were once asked to shoot some scrub bulls here in Zambia. Must admit we thought we were going to put down some grazing cows but the day turned out to be about as exciting as any buffalo hunt and these animals were very wild and wary.

I shared a camp with Jim and thought him a proper chap and keen hunter.

Back to CB and I hope he manages to sort out his run of bad luck.

A friend bought a farm and had to get rid of the cattle that gone wild. It took him almost a year to shoot the last one, once wild they are damn difficult critters to get. They give you a run for your monney Whistling

Water buff,Banteng and scrub bulls - situated in Oz, are all domesticated bovine, gone wild.

In 1838, some Banteng cattle (also called Bali cattle or Bos javanicus, indigenous to S.E.A) were brought to the Cobourg Peninsula in the Northern Territory
from Bali in Indonesia.
The European Fort Victoria/Victoria Settlement[Port Essington] , on the Cobourg was abandoned in 1849, and some 20 Banteng cattle were left to run wild.
They survive as a feral population.

They are a bit of an ecological dilemma,in so far as they are a large herd of feral animals in a national park. But it's also the largest pure strain wild herd of
these cattle in the world left remaining,....Essentially two opposing issues.

the camels are those from some 3000 Afghan traders that trekked central Australia, in the 1800s to early 1900s.
Apparrently, they are some of the purest strain camels in the world.
They are an ecological menace and cannot be eradicated fast enough.

Ain't that the truth . . . seems of late everyone wants to walk around with a chip on their shoulder just waiting to go off on someone. Everyone needs to lighten up a bit. If hunting cows is your thing, go for it. holycow Likewise, just because the general . . . er, colonel . . . goes through wives like some guys go through socks, sheesh, that just means he is going to keep churning out books for the rest of us to read for a good long time. faint

I did not mean to be touchy, it is just that I expected more from Dogcat(because he has been a guy of high character).

Yes it was a joke, but it carried a bit of a punch(as Dogcat intended) because it does carry some truth. It is not the first time I have heard this knock on Boddington. Also, I don't think anyone here have the knowledge/right to judge just how expensive anyone's wife may be. Last time I checked it seemed that wife #4 is doing quite a bit of on camera work, so I would guess that she may be paying her way.

And I will say that I am the last guy to get all teary-eyed about the plight of our military men(they made the choice...) but it must be damn hard to keep a marriage going when you are called to duty. I wonder how many of us could keep our marriage together if we were gone for months at a time.

I do get tired of that line. They made the choice, but someone HAS to do it. That they do means you don't have to.

I will be flying first class tomorrow on two legs...unless there is a uniformed service member on the plane...then they get my seat. It is a choice I gladly make.

I was stationed on submarines in the US Navy when I was gone 6 months out of the year for 7 years. Wizezilla and I managed to raise 4 kids (including a set of triplets) during that time. Last June we celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary together.

Off my soapbox now.

When I was a teenager I got a contract to remove feral cattle from Vandenberg Air Force Base. We used to shoot all the old bulls from horseback with 44 magnums because they were to wild to put in a corral and trucks.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.
