If you are world renowned - Oil & gas consultant or an IT consultant or a Financial consultant or a Legal expert, Medical expert etc. - that would be very cheap! Consider paying at lease $400 to $1000 per hour!

I wonder if we should start charging for answering questions here?

Imagine if all the people who volunteer their time and knowledge to answer questions here start charging for them?

And one gets answers from all corners too, so he can make a really educated decision.

It was that funny creature who thought he knows better than anyone else to market Craig!

My opinion of CB has changed big time. I never admired his personal life, but I did like his writing. Today, I think I will barf if I read anything he writes.

Anyone who thinks this guy is a hero should read the bankruptcy petition he filed. PM me and I will gladly send you a copy.

Craig is not someone I admire. His personal life is a complete train wreck. His BK filing is a complete joke if not an outright lie. What about the taxidermy (he claims to own none in the filing)? What about all the guns (none of any value, including ones he has mentioned in his writing)? Boddington Communications worth only $1? Hey, I will buy all rights to his books and videos and for ten times that. His wife Donna receive more in pay from Boddington Communications than he does. Why do you suppose that is? Oh, speaking of the lovely Donna, this is the second time she has been part of a BK filing; she filed in 1999. Boy, must be nice to spend other people's money...

I see one of his "buddies," Kirk Kelso, is listed as a creditor. So is WLJ Management Services, owned by a guy named Bill Jones. In case you think that sounds familiar, Bill Jones is another one Craig's "buddys" - one whom Craig is stiffing for 150K in his BK petition. Gee, with friends like that, who needs enemies? A little birdie told me Bill Jones is suing CB for fraud. Might be wrong on that one, but where there is smoke, there is usually fire.

He claims to make $5,000 per month, yet has also claimed he pays for his hunts...something isn't adding up here guys.

Like too many Americans, he made bad choices in life and expects us to pay for it. No thanks. I will never buy a thing from the guy again. His ethics are lower than whale crap.

Know him slightly, but have a close friend who has hunted with Craig several times in Africa. His take - a very skilled hunter who is modest on and off camera. Great sense of humor in camp, despite discomforts or snafus. All around good guy to hunt with.

My take - an artist whose writing I have enjoyed and will continue to read with a smile.

I'm not in a position to judge his life choices. Just considering what I do know about him. Smiler

Just a quick comment and not meant to take away or add to what anyone has said up to this point. It is really more of my personal desire to share what I know about Craig. When I got started with my writing in the hunting and shooting industry, Craig was one of the first to graciously help me get started with his personal endorsement as well as offering words of encouragement and support. Not a big deal to some perhaps but he could just as easily have taken a pass. I greatly appreciated what he did for me. Since that time, I have had many opportunities that I am humbled to have been a part of and for opportunities still coming my way.

Craig has taken my calls when I have a question or is normally quick to reply to an email. He is not the only personality in the industry that helped me get started but he was one of the first along with my friends Mark Sullivan and Massad Ayoob. I feel that I owe Craig a heartfelt thanks and I remember to tell him so at least once every year in person.

I hope if what was posted about his situation is accurate, that both Craig and Donna will find a way to work through it. I realize many of us will never see eye-to-eye on all topics or how we view others but I sincerely wish Craig and Donna the very best.

I have received more PMs on this subject than are posted publicly. If you want a copy of the BK, which is public information, please include an email when you PM me.

I won't divulge who asks for a copy, nor any comments shown to me in a PM. Trust me, no one has been impressed after reading the filing.

Public information, sure. Anyone who wants to bother can find out the details on file...

...but...

...what in the name of God would possess someone to take it upon themselves to distribute this info in this manner? Do you consider yourself to be providing some sort of public service?

Tasteless.

BTDT and it sucks big time.
I wish him well and everyone else too.

It only takes a second to ruin your health and financial situation. Pick something up wrong, slip on the ice, car wreck or a million other things and you're fk'd big time.

When Dad got to be in his 90's he started telling us: "anyone that's lived this long and never had major health problems is just damned lucky, that's all". He died at 92 & 8 months.

Health at 40 is what got me.

Hopefully that's not the same thing CB had happen. But, a BK can sure as hell be a big part of life whether health, or financial problems crop up when you can't handle it any other way. That's why our founders included it.
May everyone never suffer any major problems in life.

Exactly right, MacD37 too many here are resentful and jealous of others, including Craig. That, IMO, is the motivation here.

As jwm said, what in the world would posses someone to post this information here? Simply because the BK is public record, what bearing does that have to this forum? We all know there are plenty of unbalanced people who frequent the internet, and that clearly includes some who post on AR. The BK contains information that could bring physical harm to Craig, Donna or Craig's children. I resent that, and have lost all respect for the OP, who is so proud of providing copies of the BK to any and all comers.

When the BK was actually posted here on AR, by an unknown new poster, I immediately asked Saeed to take it down due to the potential threat it represented to Craig's family. Thankfully, Saeed is a family man himself and recognized the issue for what it was. It was promptly removed.

So tell us AAZW, were you that poster? You, sir, are a coward of the first order. You can look me up at DSC or SCI if you like and I will tell you the same to your face. You can find me at Michael458's B&M booth at DSC.

I was not that poster. I heard about it after I got back from hunting. Other than that, I have no idea what you are talking about.

If no one cared about this, I would have not received any PMs asking for it. And if the thread on the Boddington website being back was not started, perhaps I would have never posted it. I certainly could have dredged up the old one.

I am so not jealous of Craig Boddington's life it isn't even funny. I would much rather be Larry Shores than Craig Boddington. How's that?

I tell you what, you look at the BK filing and then you tell me what you think. The issue I have isn't so much the filing as it is his list of personal property. Zero taxidermy. Almost no guns. No other hunting equipment.

One thing is certain: you are not Bill Jones, and you probably have never been burned by a BK.

Furthermore, you would be surprised by the comments I have received after folks have looked at this, including those in this industry. Not one person has said, "Hey, so what if he stiffed Bill Jones for 150K?...no big deal" The comments have been universally negative - very negative.

If you are so great and wonderful LionHunter, why don't you write the check to Bill yourself (right after you donate to the Stu Taylor relief fund - maybe you can donate on behalf of Mac while you are at it). Then you and Craig can be "buddies" too.

As for me, there are many things I am not proud of in my life...but walking away from my debts in the manner he did (or any manner) is not one I will claim.

You obviously think the sun shines out of Craig's butt. That is your right. It is my right to think otherwise.

Bankruptcy is not something anyone takes easy. It does not mean you're trying to stiff someone. It means, you debts exceed your ability to pay them. Not sure you know that Craig is retired military, therefore not rich. So stuff might have piled up for him. Also, filing for bankruptcy does not mean you don't want or won't pay debts, only that the court says you are absolved from them. Some BRs set up so you are required to pay some amount towards them for a period of years, then the balance written off. Also, nothing says you can't go back and re-affirm the debt and pay it. Bankruptcy is there to prevent what you have, house, etc., from being attached and sold to pay the bills. It is there to give you breathing room. It "always" looks bad, because the rules require that you list ALL debtors, and the court is required to write them all off. Don't know the circumstances of his debt to Bill Jones, but if Mr Jones a business man, a lot of it recoverable through insurance and/or reducing taxable income by the amount written off. Which is not trying to absolve Craig, but just to point out, things not always what they seem. BTW, Taxidermy, even if he had some, is essentially useless for raising money. Have seen a lot of it sold, and goes for a dime on the dollar, sometimes less. Most of the guns I've seen him remark on , are everyday ones, that, again, won't bring much if sold. Some things, btw, are expempt from being sold under BR rules. You home, any property you might use in your business, in this case guns, computers, etc. your car, clothes, etc. Also, to some extend depends on the state you filed in, as some of them have modifications to the basic law, which is Federal. You kinda sound like this guy Trax, who comes on here stirring the pot.

So how long you been sleeping with Bill Jones? Your concern for his fiduciary status seems so overwhelming, yet you apparently have no concern whatsoever for the health and safety of those innocents who could be harmed by your action in distributing the BK. BTW, Bill Jones could regain the 150k simply by selling one of his collectible celebrity owned double rifles, if he was so inclined. I am not suggesting that he do so but I do admit it is a bit hard to work up a large dose of sympathy for the man's fiscal stability.

You have no idea how much money I, or Mac or anyone else donates to Stu or to Owen Lewis' widow, or any other individual or organization, and it is, in fact, none of your business. BTW, I do have a warm relationship with Roland.

I do wonder how many of those "many things" you "are not proud of" you would like to see published on the internet?

You really are starting to sound like a child. Perhaps you should stop to consider what danger your actions could precipitate.

If Boddington felt taxidermy was worth nothing, he could have listed at $1. If his dirty shirts are worth $200, his Markhor mount must be worth at least $1000. BTW, he listed only one rifle on his list of PP - a .308 Win. Anyone who has read his stuff knows that is his least favorite caliber. Not one single double rifle. No Tony Ramirez 7x57, etc. Did he sell them all? Hmmm, no mention of that EVER in his writing.

In the original thread about his website I questioned his ethics when he wrote about Rigby Rifles CA while he was an owner and never disclosing that (anyone who reads ANY financial journal will note there is always full disclosure when anyone recommends a financial product discloses it). In the end, I said maybe he never realized it and today would do things differently. Well, I think he knew exactly what he was doing.

Hey, you guys want to keep buying his stuff, more power to you. I am done. And I am done reading his stories as well.

Ah, accuse me of sleeping with Jones but then say I am acting like a child. I have never met Jones; I simply know of him through CBs writing. Now, maybe that is a different Jones than the one listed on the BK, but I doubt it.

Give me a break LionHunter; anyone who wants to do harm to Boddington can easily find his address. Hell, the BK filing is public information - as are his divorces. All can easily be located by any law office, none of which I had to do. I received it by email back in mid September.

Wow, so if Bill Jones can afford to lose 150K it is okay to stiff him? I guess it is okay to stiff John Wathen for 196K too just because he is a rich guy. Wow. At what point are others who would enter into biz ventures with CB entitled to know the history?

No, I won't give you a break. To quote your mature reply "Wow", you are now putting words in my mouth that I never said. Now that is indicative of a distinct lack of reading comprehension on your part and an immature approach to adult debate. "Wow" Don't you realize how obvious it is that you have repeatedly refused to address the issues brought up by AR members in opposition to your posts in this thread?

Well, since you won't address the issues, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, as you certainly have demonstrated you have the spirit of the holiday in your heart. Or perhaps your rant is the result of too much of the spirits gone to your head? At any rate, you know where to find me in person should you be inclined to continue the discussion. But I won't hold my breath for you to show up.

A near death experience heart attack can affect a man's livelihood. Couple that with being dumped by TAA, to their detriment; and the deal is easy to project on any of us.

As far as aazw, anybody here ever read any of his books, or anything else? I put the ignore button to his sorry ass last year. It has not diminished my enjoyment of this forum to any noticeable degree.

he, and the rest of this hyena pack will never rise high enough, as Steve McQueen said in the movie "Tom Horn"; to kiss Craig's ass, even standing on their mamma's shoulders.

Got an issue with that? As others here have posted, I'll be walking around SCI the entire convention.
