Just thought you guys might want to see the tusks out of the head. I just got the weights from SSG. Left tusk is 82 lbs, right tusk is 84 lbs.

Nixon is pictured below, I only wish I was still there to get some of the same photos.

Good-looking ivory, Aaron.

Out there in dry Colorado, you'll need to keep them oiled with something like baby oil so they don't crack.

Best, Tim

I shot the first one (40 pounder) in Charisa with the double. It was awesome, and yes, I wish I had the double for the big one.

Greg - I think your time is coming. Already a huge moose, and some other good trophies at only 25 yrs old. Plus the hunts you have scheduled next year. That's pretty impressive!

If you haven;t read Ivory's Ghosts you should. It give an interesting history of Ivory and the Ivory trade. Once you get past the minutiae of the first few chapters is gets informative relative to out modern times. Still, it will give you a new appreciation for the truly unique substance that has been coveted for so long.
