The new opening photo and political endorsement of Clinton and Obama is either a joke (and if so, a very poor one), or a very serious reason to leave this forum. Not sure how my amigos in Argentina feel about this, but knowing the feeling about many of my friends in South America about the problems that come with these leftist movements, it is perhaps time for us to re think our membership. This forum has been the only one I have spent time with, and have enoyed my relationship with so many of its members. Carajo! A real shame.....

I guess it was my first reaction that got me....and perhaps I take this coming election too seriously. Funny, perhaps, but the thought of one of those two responsible for our nation's well being is too sad to contemplate.
Oh well, this is humorous, but in a sick sort of way..... Roll Eyes

Bill: I regret to inform you that I got the joke at once. We are so used to our government playing the clown that we detect such stuff miles away. Please note that we have something similar on December 28th. Big Grin

As if this was not bad enough, shock waves sent through the world this morning. Bobby Mugabe elected as secretary general of the U.N., reported to me by an inside source in Zimbabwe.
On arrival in New York he plans to confiscate Trump Towers.

Thank you for your warm words, Bill ...

Thou in my country April's fool is not much known nor practiced, I emailed this opening photo & endorsement to many of my friends, since I wanted to emphazise this (black ?) sense of humour, specially possible when ones know that our worst fears are far from become reality (guns & hunting have so deeeeeeeep roots in the north american's way of life that I really doubt if ever any disarming movement would succeed)

On this particular, it seems that lefties in my country are coming again with some even worse intentions, like confiscating firearms and revoking existing permissions ... it appears that they intend to allow (an "allow" under very strictly conditions ) maximun calibers (308 for rifles and .357 for hand guns), hunters could not have more than one weapon and some more bull like that .... Mad Mad

I am truly saddened by what you are facing in your country. It never stops. And here, if one of these two left leaning demagogues get in, we will have our battles to fight as well. McCain is not as strong on firearm rights as we would like, but is sure a better choice.

Call President Kirchner and tell her that this wild, but civilized, man is coming and he would like to dine with her. What a dinner that would be....and I am not making fun of your issues; but someone truly needs to have a talk with these "leaders" about the God given right of every man to be able to defend himself, his family and his property. And that includes defending it against government intervention.

I would try my best to convince her that there is nothing to fear from responsible citizens enjoying the right to own firearms. If anything, it would support the defense of the country in the event of hostile and criminal activity.

Absolutely no offense taken on april's fool opening photo, in fact I found it quite humorous myself, being so absurd its message...

I know that we are slightly off topic Wink, and perhaps some members could think that Bill might have over reacted on this April's fool joke, but this is just because Bill's commitment on what is happening in my country, for which I thank him once more... it is a reality that down here we are dealing with inminent danger on the factibility of what we are laughing at ... and what is worst, people managing the strings of government are (former ?) terrorists that are trying to do under the mask of (fake) democracy what they couldn't do killing and fearing citizens as they intended some thirty years ago Mad Mad Mad and thus we have to tolerate not only the stalinist way of ruling but also being aligned with the venezuelan clown and with the off dated (and almost dead) castro ... lefties politics claim for social justice, but they only want to redistribute the wealth of real workers, meanwhile they steal a big percentage of this country incomes for themselves - they live like middle age feudal lords, while they proclaim to practice socialism ... and this demagogic lies add insult on the damage being made ...

Sorry for this political post, but I think this thread deserved an explanation to be understood properly ...

I`m also very sad for how its going over in Americas, and regarding the situation over here that the Minister of Justice, Minister of Defense and Prime Minister has taken the Hunter exam that can mean two things

1 Thet they have gotten interesst in hunting and they like it .

Or 2 and the most logic and sinister, that they are taking a "Kerry" getting more information regarding civillian citisenship gunowning rights and using that to ban things.

We cant have a 50 BMG in civillian use any longer ,and if you apply for a bore above 458 , if you are unlucky you must send the application to the Justice Department / Police Directorate, The Norwegian FBI abd the guy who sits there loves to ban and say no. But if you have a good reason to have a rifle, you must document it and if you out lets say. "

I`m going to hunt waterbffalo with Juan Pozzi and i need a .500 Nitro Express rifle," The the police can say, " Ok do you have a copy of you air ticket for the trip, " or " Yes we can give you the rifle " or worst " Yes we can get you the rifle but you can only have it for ca 6 months, go on the trip hunt and sell your rifle afterwards , because WE thinks its to many big bore rifles here already"

But some other guy in Germany said that in 1935 and he wasa socialist, so socialists and guncontro lare like oil and vinegar, they cant mix.

Thank god i registered with the Norwegian Democrats ( dont jump off the chair they are more like the Republicans and guns anre alright for them )

So What is the Spanish translation of Per Eugen, i might want to change name and citienships if everything goes crazy over here..... Wink

Mr. Rigby: Eugen is Eugenio in Spanish for sure, but Per sounds me like Pedro. Please someone to confirm this Big Grin. As per gun rights it seems that Spain is the best country nowadays. Argentina is battling right now due to a disarming program inspirated in the U.N. and financed by Soros.... Mad

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
