I think this is a Rhamnus caroliniana or Indian cherry. There is no thorn at the end of any of the branches. Leaves turn red in fall. Fruit turns from red to black as it ripens.

black fruit with 2-4 hard seeds, sweet flesh. large shrub or small tree.
Anyone know?
