Reflex: Saw these over on Paco's board, too. You've gotta tell us where and when, what load, bullet placement and performance, etc. It's just wrong to put up lovely photos like this and not share the details!

Great trophies.
I'm envious.

Fellers, unfortunately I didn't kill these. I will post the details when I get them. One of these guys is still recovering from his trip. I do know that they used the Garrett 540gr load. More later. reflex264

If I'm not mistaken, the guy goes by BillH, here on the forum. He posted in the hunting reports about the end of July, that he was going on this trip, with a .45-70 co-pilot, and use 540 gr. garrett hammerheads. I thought he was going to Mozambique, but I could be wrong. Been looking for a report, when these pics showed up. Obviously, he did very well. The guy in the middle pic is Nick Fadala, and he took his buff on a different hunt, I think.

No misrepresentation here at all. The one hunter who is a member here sent his safari pics to Garrett. I am sure once he fully recovers from his trip we will hear the stories. I haven't seen one poster here claim to have shot the animals.Check out the African Hunting forum for the original post by the hunter. reflex264

Cause they have never been around the 45/70 when it dumps big animals in their tracks .. ,., Now I tend to be a minor velocifile and high velocity works very well , Provideing it is pushing a wide bullet .... But the 450 Marlin and 45/70 work great .....

.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
