FrostbitClassifieds search
No matter what key word I put in for the Classifieds search I get the same response. Nothing found. I literally put "Dakota" in when it's the word in the first item on the classifieds and still no response.
Is there something wrong with the search engine for classifieds? The search works on other forums??????
Thanks
Jim

HannayHmmm... that is odd. I can search "Dakota" and it will show one post. If I go to "Classified - FIREARMS ONLY" and search on "Browning" it will pull up only one thread, from July, yet I can see two posts on the first page that have "Browning" in the title.
Leopard, Hippo, Croc - Zambezi Valley, Zimbabwe, 2024 Reindeer & Geese, Iceland, 2023 Plains Game, Eastern Cape, 2023 Buff - Zambezi Valley, Zimbabwe, 2022 Muskox-Greenland, 2020 Roe buck and muntjac in England, 2019 Unkomaas Valley, RSA, 2019 Kaokoland, Namibia, 2017 Wild boar hunting in Sweden, 2016 Moose hunting in Sweden, 2014

What do you get in the regular classifieds when you put in Swarovski?

HannayRight now I get "The search is complete. No matches were found."
even though I can see dogcat's post with "Swarovski" in the title.
I suppose it's possible that the search relies on an index that is updated infrequently. But it would have to be several days out of date.

SaeedClassified are purged regularly, so anything a while back won't show.

You really think so?
Go back and look around page 20-30's.
LOT's of "Sold" "delete" are still up.
Found 'em a couple weeks ago when I had
nothing else of interest to do one night.

Big Wonderful WyomingIt's a free service.
I have seen a lot of threads by outfitters bitching when someone post something in their post they don't like.
I am of the theory that AR is has given me a ton of good memories, information, friendships and probably a couple of enemies I didn't know I had. Thank god that dickhead Rich in Idaho is gone.

FrostbitThis thread was not started as a complaint. I just couldn't understand why Swarovski did not produce thread/items offered when there were Swaro scopes on the first page.
With you BWW. Made lots of friends thanks to AR, got many a deal in the classifieds, vetted outfitters pre-booking, and ignored you when you thought I called Darin too often from Zambia.

Cheers

Good heavens, are the Wojo's ever coming home?? It seems like a year ago they left for Zim!? I want to be a Wojo!
I think it is wonderful they are having such a good time, but daily phone calls and emails are kind of out of this world.
I go hunting to get away from the phone, computer and tv for a few weeks.
Bringing the entire world of AR with me is not something I would do. I appreciate the time and energy that is going into this report, and I just hope it is not detracting from the safari.
ThreadLike I said, I didn't mind the comment and Brett pretty much understood why I was updating he and Darin. It certainly didn't distract from a trip of a lifetime.

Seth,
I didn't take offense at all. I get it. It's just that we love Darin and promised to keep her updated when possible.
Thanks for the healthy wish. After all the cancer bullshit we look at every day as gravy from here on out.
Life is good!!
Cheers
