Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

bwanamrmCatching up on some threads since I have gotten back... excellent bulls Tim and the gang! Well done.
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

waterratIt looks like you fellows had a great hunt and did a great job of documenting it with pics. The Ak Range is a great place to be!!
I tend to use more than enough gun

flicktNice bulls, great pics. Alaska is always interesting. The rifle in 3 pics looks like a T/C "Dimensions" firearm. What caliber did you use? Just curious, anyway looks like a super hunt.
15 October 2012, 18:48
Tim Heraldflickt - yes it is a Dimension. I shot a .338, but I think the .300 would have been just fine with premium ammo...
