yupitdo...(yes, it does)

or trim at 2.85 and have .45 neck that is .008 shy of a full caliber length neck and get another 150 fps out of your lott or lower preasure.

would it fit in a m70...from my understanding it does but i am not the expert. $1.80 brass...

it's a bitch to get rigby based rounds to feed in standards actions ... this probably wont be the last time I say this, but I am getting a little horse FROM saying it.

BS, the cost of a one off reamer, headspace and dies is about 500 bucks... or the sum of the hardware you'll need to make your 470 AR.

Please do NOT call it an ultramag .. people would use the wrong brass, or at least assume it's the wrong brass ... like calling a 375x338 a 375-ought six.. just because you like the name

the name was for fun lets say its a 450 and 470 dakota short neck for now. yes it would be costly but about $3,500 cheaper than a lazzeroni. My future 470 a.r. is all I need for this lifetime but I like the idea of it. thumb the idea of 150 fps over a capstick or a lott on the same size rifle is kinda neet.

Roll Eyes

I am sure you are refering to the mbogo...yes it is awesome but...

this would have an exceptable shoulder (.560 vs .540 shoulder diameter) without serious caseforming and has a slightly smaller casehead to cram in a m70 or any rum, 375 H+H, or lott size action instead of a african length magnum action Wink

i think the idea has merrit but is pricey but not as pricey as the lazzeroni alternatives. Razzer

Not sure how this is easier to fit in an M70. Are you talking about seating to 3.6" COL? The casehead is for all intents the same as a Rigby or Lapua.
I thought at a time to make a 3.6" 416 Rigby, just expand taper and trim - turns out it holds about the same! Wish it was easier to get that casehead to feed.

i was thinking the regular rum length of 3.65"

yeah it would be a gunsmiths nightmare to feed but would be a little better than the rigby or lapua casehead. ultimately the 404 and rum cases are the max without getting into big bucks. but it is feasable...
