Ken Ball and Nicol at Shiawela Safaris

Put me on 34 inch Waterbuck and saw alot more close to it's size.

4 waterbucks were taken on the trip (29 x 2, 31, 34) and all would have scored gold medals.
Along with 20 other animals!

Plus, you would be hard pressed to find better people. Ken and Jo and thier kids, Nicol and his wife thier little one, made our trip!

Will be going back soon!

I think it would be fair to say most people are happen with the PH that they hunt with Thats what a PH does for a living make people happy(if possible) with there hunting experience. three come to mind with me Lane's buddy Nigel very nice guy easy going hard working great to be in camp with. and as everyone knows Steve Robinson is not only my good friend but he was the PH on my first hunt in Africa. If there is a better human on the planet with as good a since of humor I have not meet him. Phillip of Karamoja safari's is right there with Steve in my opinion. and If possible I will hunt with Aub458-Aubrey and Luan asap there both great guys to. I think ph's are some of the most talented people with there ability to work with some many different personalities a ego's. God bless all of them for making our sport possible for the rest of use

Dale "Donza "Desfountains of Brooklands Wildlife Safaris will work his butt off on lion, leopard, buff etc, Also hunts Choks (Hwange) and Gono re Zhou for ele. Fun guy.....he does his damndest to see that all bullets in the beast are yours, but is always ready to help if truly necessary. He stops in Great Falls every January and loves to have fun while doing business.Very calm under pressure. "Jim, its the way of things" was a frequently offered phrase on our grueling and highly successful lion hunt. Jim

Buzz Charlton

He probably takes more tuskless than any other PH in Africa each year and has a phenomenal success rate - but if you don't like to get up close to your quarry, you might think about someone else. Check out his best-selling video, "Hunting the African Elephant" with a forward by Richard Harland and interviews with the likes of Ian Nyschens and Harland. Buzz's Instructional Elephant Hunting Video

Buzz Charlton spying game near Dande North

And his leopard hunters had 100% success this season with some monster-sized cats being taken. He now operates the Dande North concession, which used to be Chifuti Safari's. If you're looking for elephant, buffalo, and leopard, Dande is arguably the most game rich hunting concession in Zimbabwe. Some great plains game, too.

In addition to being a superb PH, Buzz is also a fine person with a great sense of humor - a perfect companion for a week or three hunting in Africa.

Leopard would be Wayne Bartlett(he has 93 under his belt and knows what he is doing) Tuskless would be Buzz Charlton, Gordon Duncan or Terry Anders.

Gary Duckworth would be a good all rounder and certainly Andy Hunter is top notch

With only 4 safaris under my belt, I can say very good things about Gomez Adams in Zim and Dave Pearson in South Africa. Each for different reasons, but both for their hard work and fine time.

I recommend Tim Lamprecht of Jimba Safaris that I hunted with in the Sij last year. I also recommend Hasanali Lakak, with Hilary Daffi Safaris of Tanzania. With Hasanali I took a 52# elephant and a beautiful old lion.

One who is a legend in Zimbabwe, and who has recently started posting on AR, is Doug Kok. I have hunted with him in Zimbabwe and Mozambique and he is a pleasure to spend time with in the bush.

Gareth Flemix of Botswana. Outstanding ethics, dedication to the fair chase hunt and amazingly hard working. Two safaris were enough to convice me of his true professionalism.

Here's a 41" gemsbok also from August 2012:

Lastly, here's a georgeous zebra from the same hunt:
