Very tastefully done. Exquisite collection. Any story on the head mount of the hound? What are the large gray and white birds hanging upside-down? Steve "He wins the most, who honour saves. Pretty interesting pics Dina, I always like looking on older pics from different era than we live in. Also interested in the hound, maybe got killed by the bear? Also, in the pic above the 3 mounted Alpine Gemsbock, in the bottom right, below the Cape Buff flanking the Springbock, do you know what animal they are? Dog died when he saved the life of Von Spiess. @Sgraves155 bird is a DROPIE(romanian name) or Otis tarda(latin name). Unfortunatelly, now all those magnificent birds are gone. @ Dom I am sorry, I have no ideea what animal are they... All I can say it is an african animal)

It's definitely a hartebeest, probably a Swayne's. B.Martins What every gun needs, apart from calibre, is a good shot and hunter behind it. - José Pardal

Thanks B.Martins, now that I look at them again, yes I see they are some type of Hartebeest. Just look a bit 'crookeder' than what I've seen! -------- There are those who only reload so they can shoot, and then there are those who only shoot so they can reload. I belong to the first group.
