Thanks Jeff and Rusty!And everyone else involved. It was a great time.

Who would have thought they would wake up on a Sunday Morning in Texas and shoot 3 Buffalo, 1 Lion a Leopard ( backing up ) and a Wartie. dancing What a day!

Again thanks for all your efforts putting this together, and it was especially good to meet all the fine folks I have been "typing" to here on AR.

I think my brain is still Rattling around after letting one go in Rich's anti tank weopon. If they do manage to clone a T-Rex there is gonna be one good ole boy from Idaho ready for 'em.

Things I learned today...

1. Someone cooks some dang good brisket! Thank You to everyone who pulled this off, and hopefully we can get this to be a more regular thing at BR... But, as anyone who's seen me/knows me can attest, I'm a fan of good cooking, so an especially warm thank you to the cook...

2. I need to practice more...

Let me add my thanks to Bobc, Rusty, Jeff, and all the folks! I had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones! Shooting the course was great fun and everyone had the decency to say nothing if you missed any(Not Me!?!) Some absolutely gorgeous custom bolts and Doubles there, and I got to shoot the dreaded 550 mag, It hurts you, it hurts the game and it BBq's em with the muzzle blast at the same time! I am sure Al will post some of the fireball pictures. Thanks again to all for a great time. Lee.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to come to the shoot! What a wonderful time. I think we can count on this being a semi-annual event.

I'd like to thank Jeffe and the Bubbas for their efforts!

Special thanks to BobC and ForrestB and Hog Killer. Three guys that always show up and pitch in and help.

A big thanks to the Bayou Rifle Club and to Rusty, Kieth, Forrest, Jeffe and to any body else I may have forgotten. It was a great shoot and a very good time. the food was great. The 550 mag and the 500 jeffe were a lots of fun to shoot. On paper they may be a lot more, than my 470, but on the shoulder they were easier to shoot than my double.

Just had to check in and say what an awesome shoot Jeffe and Rusty put on. And thanks to Hogkiller for inviting us out to his place the day before for a test run. Woo-Hah!! Helena, Montana, on June 7th for the rematch! I'll be stepping up to the 577 BME for that one!

I'll try to help with some of the names

Talking with Rich is Pat from Bayou Rifles, Inc.
Background on left with muffs and glasses is ForrestB, next to him is 400 NitroExpress, and on the right in yellow sweater is MJines.

No wisdom here, just me thanking Tip Burns for being there!


I would like to point out that Tip brought his new custom NASCAR model to shoot. Each custom rifle comes with sponsorship sticker and duct tape!

Yes, a 300 H&H is the logical next choice, on a Rem M30 of course. No, one's battery is never complete, custom rifles are an addiction.

Thanks again to Jeff and friends for a great time. It was fun to put faces to names. Looking forward to the next shoot, hope they grow every year. Makes me feel good to know that even flip-flop wearing hippies can join in the fun without scrutiny. Thanks again Harry for the ammo!

The hardware at this shoot was almost unbelievable. First time I have ever seen a Rigby double next to a paddle stock 458ar. Wish we could have lined them up for a giant picture.

Had a great time at the shoot and in fact I'm still enjoying it in my shoulder! This was a most wonderful gathering of the greatest people and putting faces with names was like being introduced to family you have never met before, none the less I felt at home. Thanks to Bayou Rifles Inc, Jeffeosso, Rusty, Hogkiller, and the rest of the gang. Lets do it again soon, Rodney.
