Although I understand the reg, I do not see what the point is. Any deer hunting rifle will defeat ordinary body armor.

.429" solid should be "legal" in the 444 Marlin. Same bullet loaded in a pistol round, = a big no-no.

FWIW, I don't have a 444 Marlin, was just thinking of gumboot's idea....my 44 Mag would sure be hell on g-bears with a Bear Head Bronze solid.

Those are interesting but they have lead cores Boomster! I don't want to shoot no lead!!!

Anyway I have 505 Gibbs solids available for delivery in a few days!!

Maybe you need some 45-70 slugs for your lever gun too!

I have to make a VERY short run of special low pressure Super Groove-ee bullets for Jeffeosso first. It has grooves from the Meplat all the way to the base and a pressure relief valve through the center just in case he has a really big pressure spike.
