Ed, its a good round .. though I believe my 458 AR is a better choice, for a couple reasons fits in a standard action fits a standard "mag" bolt face no belt (if that matters) made from cheap and obtainable brass (375 rum) feeds! without tons of work isn't as wide, therefore so greatly changing, the mag geometery you take your 7rem/300win/338win and rebarrel .. simple as that-- order dies from hornady tons of "proved around the world" load data on ammoguide (several US, Aus, and even Eu) part of the problem with using a weatherby or rigby case is that they are so FAT its hard to get feeding right. opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Your better off doing a 458ar. If mine was left handed I would sell it to you. It has 4% case capacity over the lott and will work out of a standard long action. Brass is cheap and easy to form. Just do a search for it on the boards tons of info on it. Jeffe, you beat me to it. | |||
