460 A-square short

460 A-square short
Anyone using one? Likes dislikes. I want a little more than a lott not as much as a 460 WBY. will be puting it on a LH M70.

If anyone has dies aval--I'd be intrested

Ed,
its a good round .. though I believe my 458 AR is a better choice, for a couple reasons
fits in a standard action
fits a standard "mag" bolt face
no belt (if that matters)
made from cheap and obtainable brass (375 rum)
feeds! without tons of work
isn't as wide, therefore so greatly changing, the mag geometery

you take your 7rem/300win/338win and rebarrel .. simple as that--
order dies from hornady
tons of "proved around the world" load data on ammoguide (several US, Aus, and even Eu)

part of the problem with using a weatherby or rigby case is that they are so FAT its hard to get feeding right.

Your better off doing a 458ar. If mine was left handed I would sell it to you. It has 4% case capacity over the lott and will work out of a standard long action. Brass is cheap and easy to form. Just do a search for it on the boards tons of info on it.
