3" lott - brass is rumored to be made from unobtainium.

or, better still, an ackly chamber, marked lott, and use lott brass

Do you mean the 3" express (a 3" lott) or the African Express (a 2.6" shortened .404 case).

It seems like these two are confused sometimes by nomeclature.

the african express, a twin of the c=vincent short and my 458 AR, doesn't require a 602 action... would be a waste to do use that action for it, as they work in 3.4" STANDARD length actions

but, great rounds

I own the CZ 550 American Safari 458 Lott. Thats a fine Rifle to shoot. My stock is Laminated. It doesn't kick bad at all 74 ft lbs
shooting the 500gr SP bullet at 2280 FPS

The 3" Express is what those in Africa need using Somchem powders to reach top end 458wm, medium 458 Lott performance we can acheive with our powders.

I see my post did not come out clearly. I have decided on a Lott to go along with my Whitworth .458WM because i can see it works for our cooler climate[only doing it cause the 602 action is so long. Dan
