I have had a lot of clients like Shootaway, they close both eyes and just shootaway, and they get about the same size groups, the force may not be with them yet, you must open your karma to get the force stuck up there! space

I make it a habit NOT to read anything shootaway posts, since he doesn't know his ass from a teakettle, but when I saw this had reached 3 pages, I knew something was up, so here's my contribution.

Todd Williams - Apology accepted; sometimes it takes awhile here to understand the motivation behind a post and which posters are legitimate.

As to my RSM front sight, for those inquiring minds who want to know, I never was able to get it off - beat the hell out of it, tried everything and spoke with Ruger, who told me they usually just "cut" them out. Finally took it to a gunsmith and he was finally able to remove it. He said it was as if it was soldered into the base. The NECG white bead is now in place and I killed another Ele with the rifle in September. But I really don't know what my front sight has to do with the OP??? Shootaway logic I guess?

shootaway - I believe my Africa count is now around 60 species - documented (you could look it up if you had the skill), including all DG. How're you doin'? And you have the balls to call out Michael458 ??? Like I said, shootaway is an ass and he always will be. Robgunbuilder has it right, best just to ignore shootaway .

I don't care if you went to africa and took 1000 animals. As far as I am concerned,if you can't figure something out then you can't figure something out. There are a lot of imbeciles working at Ruger and you spoke to one.Is Michael an expert on bullets or rifles? Is he an expert on hunting? Rifle shooting? Is Robgunbuilder a gunsmith? Cartridge inventor?

Michael and Rob have made incredible contributions to the hunting and shooting world. You might want to bark up other trees.

Shootaway,

In which of these areas are you an expert? What are your qualifications to post anything on this thread?

Shootaway

the short answer is

YES Michael458 is an expert on Rifles, bullets, hunting and shooting

Yes Robgunbuilder is a gunsmith and cartridge expert.

What are you good at?
What do you know?
When will you learn to shoot?

Having watched the videos of Shootaway shooting, off hand, 50 m shot after shot reload the magazine from his belt , continue shooting, no hesistation, just shooting with what I presume to be full loads with a 458 Lott, 20 shots later ?

How many can do it ? and what would their target look like as the effects of recoil take effect?

Yes, some years ago before BASA and their big bore shoot there was the yearly SA Hunters shoot at the Baviaanspoort Prison Range. We had a Charging Buffalo event, not even 50 yards, it was under 25 yards, shooter against the clock, big bore shoot 4 rounds reload 4 more!

So it has me wondering what would every one elses "groups" look like.

he came down for a hoot n shoot -- and handled my 458 lott with aplomb .. he's very nice in person.. and can shoot.. and shoot fast ...

however, i th ink he does post some of this stuff to jack with you... cuz at 25 yards he can put 4 in a 3" circle as fast as most of us can just cycle the bolt...

2-4" @ 50 -- off a bench? he can shoot MUCH better than that...
