Confused

Would there be ANY interest in "coaxing" remington into bringing a "special" order of the spartan 45/70s in country?

I just spoke with the general info line, and they are now "targeting 2006"

I have a call into the product manager, to discuss this. Even if he tells me "no" it's a firm interest.

Now, if they DO entertain this thought, There will be a firm delivery date.

the "rumor" is that only demos have been made, and there's not a ship full of them (that's full of SHIP ya'll)

Jeffeosso,

Does this have to be only in Texas? If Illinois is included, I would definitely be interested in a 45-70. Please let me know what I have to do.

Best wishes,

Count me in for a 45.70. I'll send a deposit whenever you need it. I'll just have your dealer mail it to my dealer.

I believe the Spartan/Remington 45/70 double is a gunstore urban myth. Propaganda everywhere. No examples. Similar to the Tucker car of the 1940's.

Remington is going to have to get a live example to Bi-Mart, Wally-World or Sportsman's Warehouse before I'll even think of buying one.

Sometimes the fit and finish of a commie gun is good, sometimes it is not. I wouldn't commit to buying one of these sight unseen.

If it is a decent gun, I'll be one of the first to get the 45/70 version. But I have to actually get one in my hands first.

This is my opinion. Your opinion may vary.
