Nothing from any Co., but I do want to build to build two more customs, on Remington Model 30S. One in .375 and one in .510, just have not made a final desision on which chamberings. These will be, Big and Li'l Bubbas for my Lott

That and plans for a double rifle on one of my Parker Bros shotguns. And on one of my 16ga hammer guns.

I've got several project big bores, most probably will never get completed. Top of the list:

(1) Upgrade my 510 Brevex with express sights, rust blue and a new Turkish stock shaped like this:

(2) Build another 375, British express style.

(3) Rebarrel a Ruger #1 to 500 Nitro.

(4) Build another 416 using my Burgess-modified CZ550 action:

Bill,

At the BGRC shoot in Lodi Wisconsin last October I was able to shoot Ernie Stallman's 500 and 577 BPE hammerguns and I have been hooked! Big Grin Now, unless Pedersoli make these I am sure that I shall never be able to afford one. I only wish that more people get to try these - they are so much fun and would be superb deer guns for the US at the ranges where most deer are shot anyway.

Everyone whom Ernie offered his rifles enjoyed shooting them. If someone made these today, I am sure that they would be extremely popular.

Cheers and good hunting! beer

Mac, I too think the Searcy PH in 450/400 is an awesome idea, and I fully understand about the lack of funds to make it a reality. So I think for my first rifle over .40 I'll probably be thinking more along the lines of CZ's new SC550 in .404 Jeffery, or maybe if I get a good tax refund an AHR in the same, or possibly .416 Rigby.

I want to have the stock on my .416 Rigby redone from its hogback form to a more pleasant shape and I went to get the double rifles to Africa!

From vendors I want Northfork to deliver the 500 gr .474 CPs while selling a bunch of them and for the guy who bought the BeLL big bore cartridge tooling to be wildly successful ... so we have a continuing source of good cases.

Hmmm.

First, I want Remington to market a CRF rifle in big bore calibers. If they really have bought rights to market the Zastava action here, I would want to see it in a true safari configuration and at a price that competes with CZ. I also would like to see them build a large magnum-length action to accomadate .458 Lott and up. (won't happen, but we're asking what I'd LIKE to see)

Second, I want CZ to build a usable out-of-the-box big bore. Presently, CZs in calibers like .458 Lott have to go through a major overhaul in terms of feeding and cross bolting before they are ready to go on safari (that's why I got the Ruger in .458 Lott).

Third, I'd like to see somebody build an AFFORDABLE double rifle in .470 Nitro. (Eight grand ain't "affordable"!)

I will agree with this! It would surely out sell the PF 700s. clap

Eight Grand may not be affordable, but Im afraid it ain't gonna happen any cheaper! People have been wishing for cheap double rifles for 100 yrs, and NOW is no different than years ago, it still takes lots of hand fitting to build one, that is worth haveing! Big Grin

That .510 posted above is a very nice rifle.

I'd like a Lee Loader in .375 H&H. I have about 500 pcs. of shiny clean once fired .375 brass and don't want a whole reloading setup just to squeeze together practice rounds.

The silver label, an O/U has been converted to 470.. but it's an OU...

the goldlabel is a miniscule action, and a true backaction... the stock would be overly weak...

The merkel, when it started coming in,was around 5k... would be nice to see that again, in 470, but with a custom buttstock

Ruger No.1 Sporter in 405 Winchester but with as slender a 26 inch (if not 28 inch) barrel as one can get away with, wearing at least "better" grade walnut, fitted with a fixed rear sight, low rings with QD levers, tuned trigger, smoothed action, decorated with a touch of engraving here & there, and finished in a rust blue (or something that looks like it).
