"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Juan P. is one hell of a good bird hunter. If they fly he knows where and when. That guy on the left is not a hunter but a native who lives way the hell and gone out in the bush and has a few good hunting spots on his property.

You know the saying, "if it flies it dies"....well for him it is - "if it dies I'll eat it." nilly

He gave me a gift...some kind of dead black bird whose fresh days were long over. ( Eeker What could I do; "muchas gracias, but do I have to eat it now?" animal

clap It is hard to beat a good asado. Juan's partridges, some salami and even a little smoked trout for a beginning, and then hot off the parilla, costillas, chorizos, chinchulins, bife chorizo, good bread, cold beer and red wine.
holycow Beef, it is what makes life worth living holycow
Then to the "shooting" range behind the barn shooting at a steel silouette. A Friday night ritual with a great group of guys. thumb

Steve: Thanks for the compliment but I am not a good bird shot. When you shoot next to Juan and Iki you realize you are just putting lead in the air. But the action continues and it is great fun.

Bill thats true ,Iky and Juan are really incredible shooters but Juan almost shoots professionally as hes always training somebody ,in the security forces, and IKY takes advantage of the free ammo.We shoot from 5 years old and at 12 years old nobody won JUAN with any weapon ONLY GUILLERMO AMESTOY WON HIM IN OLYMPIC AIR RIFLE ,Juans father was a great wing shooter but he expend thousands of dollars in Juans training ,his brother is a great shooter too ,so all his granfathers .Today here everybody wants to train with Juan ,in shooting and tac med skills....he said im a good rifle and revolver shooter ,thats good because he is never happy with any performance....

"I love you Juan" says Guillermo. I am not going to sleep in the same tent with him. Roll Eyes

And I believe Marcos is talking about Juan after he mentions Marengo.

But never discount Guillermo. I have seen him shoot as well, and saw him kill that buffalo with the cannon of a revolver, offhand.

We gringos are just outclassed....but we are
more suave and debonair.... thumb

BIG MARENGO IS AN INCREDIBLE WING SHOOTER ,he lives of caged pidgeon championship where big money is on prizes,he can hit the dove and then put several more shoots on it while the dove is falling ,he shoots hundreds of shells everyday ,was 2 times south american champion ,sevarl times national champion and competed in several world cups.
Guillermo was a profesional olympic rifle shooter.
Marcos is a real good with rifle and revolver and hes always in great physical shape ,he use to run 10kms a day with his rifle ,at midday.
I just compete a shoot in ever tournament i have and sometimes i have luck ,but honestly im always learning ,next week end ill be in an asymetric operator course -a lot of mp5 and m4s-and next month in a sniper course ,and its true in my MED TAC courses i shoot hundred of shells ,BY THE WAY I BROKE THE SPRING OF MY TANFOGLIO,NEVER HAPPENED WITH MY GLOCK.

Guille the spring only failed its insertion ,after 10000 rounds Eric Graufel always takes trigger springs ,im very happy with TANFOGLIO and we continue competing with it .I daily carry my glock 40 because of its reliable ,but we can make more accurate shots with our Tanfoglios.
Now we are beggining our partrige season for 3 months we will be shooting different partriges .We have been hunting snipes very ,very difficult shots.
