the freedom fighters in Ukraine.

Those who you and I call freedom fighters, are known to the MAGAts and Putinists as ‘insurgents’.

It’s just a matter of perspective, and whether or not they have value to you or if you prefer to kill them.

They can even change! I remember when the Mujahideen were the U.S. championed ‘freedom fighters’, and in the early 80’s they were supplied with huge shipments of arms to fight off the Russians.

Then the Russians said “Ah, to hell with it!” and went home.

Somebody waved a magic wand, the Mujahideen became the Taliban, and they were rebadged as ‘insurgents’…and the Americans suddenly realized that all those arms they supplied could shoot in both directions.

Like I said - perspective. Is the gun barrel pointed toward you, or away? It makes all the difference.

When Agent Krasnov decides to invade Canada, we (and hopefully a few more civilized nations, Greenland and Panama at least) will be calling ourselves ‘freedom fighters’ while the MAGAts will be calling us ‘insurgents’. It’ll be the hottest ticket this side of the Bighorn Sheep draw, and it’ll probably keep us entertained for years. Remember the Alamo! Big Grin

How many years of combat have you done?
You are simply another angry old man, of no relevance. The native americans had it right. When of no use to society, they left the old out to die, a waste of resources otherwise.

Your senior years are coming, and as Trump has proven redundantly that he has no use for veterans you may be one of the first left out for the buzzards to pick at.
Big Grin

How do you figure that Scott?

Trump put huge effort into fixing the VA in his first term.

He seems to care a lot about our service people.

Trump has been quoted as nauseum insulting Milley and the rest of his 1st term cabinet. Trump has been quoted insulting McCain, those interned in the cemetery at Normandy and Gold Star families.

I know, I know, I've been told repetitively to ignore Trump's words, but I'm having a hard time with that.
I'm supposed to take God's Word as law, revere the words of Jefferson, Adams, Lincoln , JFK, and other, but what comes out of Trump's mouth is water off a ducks back? Confused

The defenders of the Alamo saved Texas but only because Santa Anna was such a poor general. I won't get into the fact that the Americans who came to Texas, which was then part of Mexico, violated the deal by bringing slaves and Baptist preachers with them. Don't get me wrong, I'm a proud Texan, born and raised on the Mexican border.

But Santa Anna screwed up big time by engaging at the Alamos. It delayed his advance by two weeks over a force of less than 200 men when he could have bypassed it and proceeded north against Houston before Houston could assemble an army. Santa Anna could, and should, have bypassed the Alamo, perhaps leaving a small force to keep them pinned down.

Instead, he inflicted significant casualties on his army and delayed their advance. But he didn't and the rest is history and I'm glad it turned out like it did.

My ancestors did not fight at the Alamo, but they lived on the Lavaca river at the time and some of the residents of that community did.

I volunteered to go where I was sent.
I loved the rush of combat. I trained to be the best of the best, and wanted to prove it, as did the men in my unit. I figured if those I faced didnt want to die, they should have trained harder.

Other than those 83,000 VA employees (20,000 of them are veterans) who have been or will be fired at the VA thanks to the little South African Nazi weirdo.

Hear hear to remember the Alamo. Revisited it 4 weeks ago while my son was competing at the Texas State Trap and Sporting Clays competition held by the San Antonio Livestock show.

I am always humbled in its aura.

No descendants of the Alamo here. My family homesteaded west of Fort Richardson in Comanche Territory in the 1870s. Still own that ground today. When I was a small child, there were elders in Jacksboro who were present in the last Comanche raids.

Remember the Alamo! salute

Trumps insults to Mattis, Kelly, McCain, Miley, etc are not debunked, are fact and easy to lookup for yourselves.
Trumps words and any defense of them are disgusting.

On McCain and Milley…I was in full agreement with Trump.

The thing with Kelly has 2 sides and Kelly’s actions were also questionable.

Mattis’ actions were questionable as well.
