Here's an argument that Lane hasn't made yet:

https://babylonbee.com/news/pe...ore-being-kicked-out

People Who Bypassed Legal Process In Migrating To USA Demand Legal Process Before Being Kicked Out

U.S. — According to sources, several individuals who bypassed the legal process in migrating to the United States are demanding due process before being deported.

"The law has to mean something!" said José, a member of the international crime gang MS-13. "America is a nation of laws, and laws must be followed, except for the ones that say I can't sneak in and do a bunch of murderin'. Those don't count."

Washington Democrats blasted the Trump administration for swiftly punishing migrants just because they "broke the law," arguing that migrants shouldn't have to follow the law. "Following the law is for Americans. These noble migrant creatures shouldn't have to follow the law," said Nancy Pelosi.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen went even further, going out of his way to personally visit every single person deported by the Trump administration. "All non-American invaders deserve American due process," he said during a meeting with notorious drug lord Sancho Parra. "It's in the constitution somewhere."

At publishing time, the United States Supreme Court ruled that President Trump must stop deporting criminals since they snuck into the country fair and square.

The short term market has always fluctuated. The long term market always grows. Fact.

I am sorry for your economic distress…I truly am. So far in any industry I deal with, I have experienced zero adverse changes from tariffs or trade policy. As I mentioned, building materials are not up. Medical supplies are steady. Trends on expendable cash are still driving the equine industry. Energy is cheapening but the boot is coming off of the neck of the energy companies — a win win.

Market volatility will subside and the longterm market trend line will ascend.

We are on track for the worst April in the stock market since 1932, the dollar is at a 3 year low and even the bond market is spooked(I did not think that was even a possibility). This is a mess and that SOB Trump's shitty policies are the cause.

That is the point. This economic crisis is the making of Trump’s policies that are self inflicted. Most folks knew this would happen.

It is only the equine surgeon that told us the economy would be fine.

Now, that has proven false. He knew it would be. His defense has changed to markers always go up and down ignoring the cause.

The economy is not fine. See the value of the dollar and the bond market for more proof. The volatility in the stock market is a direct result of Trump's tariff policies. You would need to remove your head from Trump's ass first in order to see clearly.

Wormtongue says J6 convicts didn't get due process.

https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news...gp5?ocid=socialshare

Andrew Bates, former White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary in former President Joe Biden's administration, called out one of President Donald Trump's top advisors for saying that those sentenced for storming the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021, did not receive "due process."

"The most corrupt administration in U.S. history is getting even more desperate," Bates wrote on the social platform X on Monday in response to a post by White House advisor Stephen Miller saying that the system was rigged against Jan 6. rioters.

Miller, who also serves as the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, had claimed in his post that the "entire system" was rigged against those who were arrested for storming the Capitol on Jan. 6. 2021.

"If you were an American falsely accused of wrongdoing on January 6th it wasn’t merely difficult to get 'due process,' it was impossible. The entire system was rigged against you. All of it. Those persecuted Americans could only dream of the 'due process' afforded illegal aliens," he wrote in his post.

Historian Josh Marshall, reacting to Miller's post, wrote, "Yep, even with Trump's farm-stocked Supreme Court somehow the Jan 6th insurrectionists couldn't get due process. Go figure."

Actually, they did receive due process. Any due process challenges with merit we will never know. That is because they were all pardoned. As it stood, they received full due process.

The people who are really having issues are the ones who basing their plans on what the market has done retired early.

Anyone who retired with a questionable level of cushion funds is going to get hurt here.

I agree that a lot of the market was unreasonably high with poor P/E, and Lane is right that folks with cash are in a good position to pick up deals (which by the way means whoever is selling is getting screwed by definition…)

Yes, if you have the right knowledge and assets you can make money in any market… but the opposite is also true… you can lose money with minimal mistakes in any market as well.

There are a couple of cases in the Fed. District Courts. The most direct is probably the one pending before US Court on International Trade an Article III of limited subject matter jurisdiction, but national personal jurisdiction.

I suggest all look at our past tariffs, pre Trump. The ones named after presidents all had to be passed by Congress.

Our Executive is relying on the obscure International Economic Emergency Powers Act.

No, President has used this power to unilaterally impose tariffs.

Until he is stopped. He has sway.

Congress has been castigated themselves before him.

I never heard of the US Court on International Trade. Are its judge or judges appointed for life or subject to disposal by the president?

Is standing an issue in these cases?

Appointed and confirmed by the Senate.

It is an Article III court.

Think of it as a Fed District Court of limited jurisdiction. However, that limited subject matter jurisdiction is nation wide.

It underscores how obscure the Fed law the Executive is basing its actions upon.

I do not one about standing. I do know on the cases pending in Fed district courts, the Executive has raised venues and jurisdiction.

Rolland as of today, a dozen states have filed actions. These are separate from the few I was aware of previously.

The previous cases were filed by individual business entities and an Indian tribe.

These state cases look to be filed in the U.S. Court on International Trade.

The Executive will raise standing concerning the state party cases. The Executive is pretty stuck by the individual business groups as long as any member can show direct economic loss/harm.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has stated that the US economy remains in a "solid position" despite heightened uncertainty, particularly regarding trade policies. He acknowledged the potential for tariffs to increase inflation and slow growth, but also noted that the labor market is strong and inflation is moving towards the Fed's 2% goal. While the economy is considered solid, Powell warned that the impact of recent policy changes on the economy is still uncertain, and the Fed is monitoring the situation closely.

Trump has even screwed up the bond market, once thought not possible.

The economy is not fine, the tariffs will certainly lead to increased inflation and there is a very high chance of stagflation, hence why Powell did NOT lower interest rates.
