I'm looking forward to Garland releasing Jack Smith's report.

Yea, Gaetz is exemplary of Trump's worldview and goals for the country. That's why Trump nominated him. Gaetz's incompetence, depravity, worldview and corruption are ASSETS in Trump's view.

He and all the other corrupt and unqualified Trump nominees speaks, screams of something bigger.

This corrupt team that Trump wants, and the authors and supporters of project 2025 want and vet like an employment agency, is consistent with MAGA worldview. Trump supporters approve of this shit.

Gaetz and all the others, Trump and his supporters are all about "Tear it All Down" worldview.

Even when and if Jack Smith's report, with all that evidence, is released to the public, it will make little difference in opinions or Trump's goals for second (and third?) term.

You may ask, Why?

The answer is so absurd yet obvious at the same time. Recognizing the "Tear it all Down" worldview is the easy part. Why they have that view is harder to answer. How they justify it is difficult too. But, for those paying attention one essential element in the justification is Belief in Fiction. They have to believe the lies and propaganda. Faux News is popular for a reason.

We see it all the time herein where opinions are completely polarized, and it's clear at least to me that the opinions or conclusions stated as facts by Trump supporters are completely tied to lies they believe rather than actual facts.

As with conspiracy theories, most often there aren't enough coincidental facts to offset or mitigate the effect of the Belief based in lies, in the individual or the political arena.

I have thought and said herein that the problem is they can't sort it out. That may be true, but likely I'm giving too much benefit of doubt or
credit for virtue or morals, and not enough credit for hate. It's also true that they don't care or want to sort it out. They want to believe, and they will.

On GPS: Why are Americans so divided over Trump?

New York Times columnist David Brooks gives Fareed his perspective on why President-elect Donald Trump remains such a polarizing figure.

That FACT that Gaetz is a morally repugnant slug means nothing to your MAGA Republican, who long ago abandoned quaint notions of right and wrong as unnecessary restrictions on behavior.

Understanding the Trump brand of Republicans is not complicated: they are spoiled children who were never taught ethics or principles, whose only belief is self-interest and who can easily hold contradictory positions at the same time.

Millions of them will tell you today that they hate Obamacare but want the Affordable Care Act left alone.

Some of them are clever or crafty but smart is rare.

IMO, it's believable when the analysis in my above post is considered.

If you or anyone has a better explanation as to why Trump nominated Gaetz, tell us about it.

Trump didn't nominate Gaetz or any of the others despite their character and history. He nominated them because of it, out of spite for the system and institutions.

Gaetz, like some or most of the other nominees, has reached the end of his political career. He wouldn't even be a good political commentator on Faux News. He's a dead head, dead ender.

Which makes him perfect for Trump's loyalist team.

Oh dear, Florida the age of consent is 18 when the two actors are Gatez age and a 17 year old girl.

Now, one reason this may not be prosecuted at the state level is that with only the testimony of a consenting 17 year old, the jury may not like that case.

AR Trumptards defending Gaetz, that does figure.

The bottom still has not been found. Hookers, statutory rape, obstruction of Congress, fraud, sexual assault, an attempted theft of a Presidential election, all fine if you are a MAGAT. Disgusting does not quite cover it.

The party of law and order....My ass they are.

Scumbags of the highest order, just like the Orange Jesus.

I mean, paying for college tuition....I believe that I predicted that, though it was in jest. You just can't make this shit up.

If the people who want to force the Bible down the throats of school kids believed anything in it they would condemn a grown man giving alcohol, drugs and money to 17-year-old girls to have sex with him, much less an elected Representative, but it's all bullshit, all they believe in is greed and power.

You have never tried a sex case. I have.

Jury would not like a consenting 17 year old regardless of the statute.

Or the local prosecutor chose not to, to protect him.

Wo more info, I’ll choose to believe the first

Legally true.

Died not mean we have to deny the likelihood when selecting someone to run a government agency.

There's the old story about Lyndon Johnson running for office, suggesting his opponent had carnal knowledge of his pigs.
Someone told him that was ridiculous, Lyndon said he knew that, just wanted the hear the man deny it...

Exit we have much more than a direct political opponent making an accusation.

If some mass such an accusation toward me, I would just ignore it. Folks would be angry at the accuser.

LBJ’s accusation does not pass the laugh test. Gaetz as a person/politician does not pass the laugh test.

Some things are difficult to believe.

Like Gaetz not being guilty of the things he is alleged to have done.

Or O.J. not being guilty of murdering Nicole.

Or djt not not being complicit in the events/shenanigans of J6.

BTW is the subway arsonist still innocent if you saw his ugly deed with your own eyes?
