When Maine defies a final order adjudicating the matter, I will say the Governor needs held in contempt and impeached.

If you wish to provide the facts and applicable law that shows Maine to be in the wrong, I’ll support you.

Yuk yuk yuk yuk. Funny you!

I do believe I'll be taking a pass for the foreseeable future on any "rule of law" umbrage MAGA takes.

January 6th, the pardons for January 6th, the above contempt of court,...,
Trump and the GOP demonstrably have no use for Rule of Law. As soon as the Trump folks start policing themselves I'll be able to take their issues with the other side a little seriously.

Except you are being hypocritical about it.

You started calling Trump out before the Supreme Court ruled…. Heck you made claims that the guy was here legally and it looks like that wasn’t the case.

I’m sorry, but using an identity decision to overrule gender based physical separation is not logical.

If we didn’t have trans people trying to compete at an advantage against biology, most of this would be moot.

I don’t care who you want to love.

But I don’t want to be taxed for your cosmetic choices.

Trump violated an order that prevented the Executive from making someone disappear.

Your objection is not synonymous.

What the Regime was doing was in clear violation of over 50 decades of precedent. It was not and is not an open question.

I assume you are referring to the NY Attorney General.

Again, we do not condemn on the unilateral word of the Executive. If they have proof the Grsnd Jury will indict. If they have proof beyond a reasonable doubt the jury will convict. That is the same basic, two line process President Trump received in NY criminal court. The issue is President Trump was handed w kid gloves by the Court. I said the same for Trump during his trials. When the gavel fell, it fell on his head. If the gavel falls on her head, good riddance. Appeals notwithstanding.

We know the Executive violated basic due process rights. This S. Ct., has adjudicated that. The lower courts continue to attempt to redress the matter.

Citizens are entitled to due process. Why is anyone who not a citizen entitled to anything more than establishing that they are not her legally?

This is really simple -- I got in trouble a few years ago by saying that to a judge, who obviously wasn't keeping up and he took offense (not on this issue) -- but men are men and women are women and men should not compete against women in sports. Similarly, US citizens are afforded Constitutional rights, as are anyone in the country legally. But why is someone who is a criminal by being in the country illegally entitled to the rights afforded to citizens under the Constitution?

So, what did your attitude get you with that judge, and what did you learn?

And what does that men and women issue have to do with anything especially this topic?

You used one particular word in your post that indicates attitude. That word is "afforded".

Here's a definition of afforded:

'The word "afford" often indicates the act of providing or supplying something needed or wanted."

AI Overview
To be afforded something means to be given, supplied, or provided with it, often in a formal or natural way. It implies that something is made available to someone, whether it's an opportunity, protection, or a necessary item.

Search on question: does the constitution grant or protect rights?

Answer: AI Overview

The Constitution protects rights by limiting the power of the government and establishing specific legal protections for individuals, rather than explicitly granting them. The Bill of Rights and other amendments to the Constitution explicitly outline these protections against government interference. These protections ensure fundamental freedoms and liberties, such as freedom of speech, religion, and the press.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
Protects against government overreach:
The Constitution, particularly the Bill of Rights, establishes boundaries on what the government can and cannot do, ensuring that individual rights are not infringed upon.

Limits government power:
By defining the powers of the federal and state governments, the Constitution also implicitly protects rights by preventing them from being exercised in ways that violate individual freedoms.

Guarantees specific freedoms:
The Bill of Rights, for instance, protects freedom of speech, religion, assembly, and the press.

Establishes due process: The Fourteenth Amendment, for example, ensures due process of law and equal protection under the law, further safeguarding individual rights.

Not about granting rights:
The Constitution's role is to protect the rights individuals already possess, rather than to create them. It acknowledges and affirms the existence of these rights, such as the right to freedom of religion, speech, and the press, as inherent to all citizens.

Note: one definition of citizen is inhabitant. Certainly, a citizen is an individual possessing rights.
