Absolutely marvelous! Bet taxidermists don't get much practice on savanna buff! That is just fantastic work.

Great work.

Do they sell a form just for Savannah Buffalo or are the two so similar that you can use a Cape Buffalo form?

No, I do not believe there is a savannah buffalo form commercially available. Probably not enough demand for one. Jonas Bros. has a dwarf buffalo form but they are much smaller.

I used a smaller cape buff form and altered it. The body was actually pretty close in size but the cape buff head is bigger. I resized the head and resculpted some of the details of the face. My reference shows the savannah buff to have less loose skin/wrinkles/dewlap than the cape buffalo.

I think the samller head makes the bodies of these buffalo look massive. Also the horn shape and ears are pretty cool on these guys.

Thanks everyone for the comments.
