Great mount. I am not a taxidermist and don't want you to give away secrets but how are these mounts done? I just cannot figure how something like this can stay upright with just one point of connection.

Balance, physics, and engineering.
Along with a great imagination.
ANYTHING that can be thought out CAN BE DONE.
I don't know the words CAN"T BE DONE.
Thanks for enjoying them.

Incredibly beautiful work. It must feel awesome to have such talent in your chosen profession.

I just read your profile on your website and your tenacity and dedication to learning taxidermy at such a young age was remarkable. Your parents giving you their suppost and freedom to choose this as your life's work speaks volumes of them. They obviously saw the prodigal genius in their son as a child for this type of art and allowed you to nourish it.

What a wonderful gift you have. Wayne

Dennis, I was e-mailing a picture of your World Show "Air Lion" to another taxidermist (Kenny Bauman, who is in the picture with his mouth open in awe admiring the mounts) and my 17 year old daughter walked by and was blown away with the piece. She asked how the heck did he do that? She then asked, "Is it connected just by the lion's tail? I showed her the armature picture and she just kept saying "amazing"! And yet another fan is born! Cool

Your air-lion (cougar is only what people who live where there are no mountain lions call them) is really interesting. Not for me but amazing!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
