With all the 9.3 threads do you all think there is a need for a 9.3 forum?

I'd like to see it.

I'm always looking at the 9.3 threads first now.

´ll suggest a .333cal thread or ofcouse a .318cal thread for the compromise

since I have a "flat rate" membership package, I take my time reading the various posts on the forums. Yes, I would support a 9,3mm forum. Having gone thru the phase of wanting to own one of everything, I find myself with a shrinking pair of rifle racks, and more versatile cartridges. The 9,3mm is a real "do it all" caliber, if you exclude long range shooting and varmint hunting. If a guy had a 9,3x62 or 64 Brennecke and a good DR in 500NE, he could hunt the world.

9.3 with,,,whatever, is mostly a justification for lester for moster. Less kick, no headache,,. Effiency,,so you all claim. Good caliber, never said different.

Been on a few tuff hunts with it and one moose from end to end, assh*le to appetite, last day, running away. Do the math. 3 Elk. Bang/flop.

Have taken 1 moose with a 7mmRemmag but was ideal. No more, though. Take enough gun and no apologies or wasted trips will ever have to be explained.

Works right damn*d fine on Sask Whitetails. too.

I would like to be te 9.3mm reference librarian.
I love rifles, and 9.3mm rifles most of all. We should all recognize Norm Tonn as the North American patron saint of our little order. He has been surpassingly generous with his time and knowledge with me.

I believe together we can put together a pretty complete listing of good loads for the various bullets in the various calibers.

I'll start taking pictures of the various bullets that are available, and to describe their qualities.

Our Scandinavian colleagues are way ahead of us in that area so I plan to just plagiarize their posts.

The 9.3mm bore size is like caffeine. It may be a false God, but sometimes it is the only God we have.

And Lawndart is welcome to be moderator/mentor and I guess it would be hard to keep Alf out of it (joke!) so that´s all we need. Boha and Husky might require the .318 being added though and the 8mms are nice too...

As long as .30 cal and ALL Weatherby calibers are kept out I think we can swing it.

the 375 is only better if you have one of those looooong actions available. We are talking the 9,3x62 or 64B and a standard Mauser or M70 action.

Like, the minty-1908 Brazilian Obendorf Mauser that I have sitting here on the desk. I just fed four rounds of the PRVI 285gr factory rounds into the box, and one in the chamber makes it a five-shooter. You would also note that my CZ FS is on my lap with five rounds in the magazine (plus one up the spout)...it's a six-shooter, right from the factory. The only way I know to do that with a 375H&H is, surprise!, in a CZ 550 Magnum.

cewe, for what it's worth I think all the mag wells in the ZG47's are long enough to house the Brenneke cartridge. I know it is sure tempting to just rechamber my x62 to x64B.

Sure wish I had my Husky x57 still!

Note to our American board members: at 11:30 am MST the Nosler website has 250gr Accu-Bond cosmetic seconds on sale for $19.95 per fifty. I do not expect them to last long, as quantities are very limited. I was also thinking, what if you necled the Wbee 378 case down to 9,3mm...wouldn't the 250gr Accu-Bond make a great 1000 yard Rockchuck/Coyote round?

cewe, I totally agree with you re: rechambering my ZG47 x62. It is merely a tease when I found the magazine well was long enough.
The 21H's pop up fairly often and would suffice, although that would be perhaps a tad light!
We have a pile of Husky 146's in 9,3x57 where I got the pictured one from but they take a bit more effort to get them up to where the BRNO's are.
Bullwinkle came right out of the mountains of Northwestern Alberta. One 270gr Speer hit him like a frieght train and he never even tried to get up. I've never seen one topple that fast before!

Sure is a shame they won't ship outside the Country. I will be trying some 250gr Nosler's very soon I hope. I have a friend in British Columbia who kindly offered to send me some of his cast lead pills too.

Thanks boom, however anyone who owns a 9.3 is equal. They have discoverd the secret of accuracy and hard hitting.

I think a movement for more 9.3 recognition is in order. Too many are not in the loop. So thanks to lawn dart & Idaho Sharpshooter the movement has begun!

No problem cewe, there is a bit of everything in my heritage, Norweigan, Russian, German, English, Scottish. Nice mix, eh? LOL.
I figured you could have only been talking about one thing being shot from that pic and went from there.

I wouldn't say there is alot of BRNO's around, but one can happen across them if he looks hard.
Two and a half years ago I didn't have one, now there are three in the safe and perhaps one more to find it's way home with me. A collection isn't finished until there is a Mannlicher stocked carbine in the safe!
It was by fluke that I got this ZG47 in 9,3. I cannot see how it will ever leave my grasp until my Son and Daughter wish to lug it around.
When I get it back fromthe Smithy, I will bore all to death with it's first range play.

I think it would be great to have a 9.3 Forum. I went to the range today for a while with the 9.3 CZ550 American. I'll upload a target if someone tells me how.....BobG in VA

that is one of my few wildcat ideas based on the 9,3...i call it the 368 win (turn the 5 into a 6) only 2 thou off the .366

I just bought a donor action! It's a M-98, I'm thinking a x62.

Hopefully, I can bring up the target that I asked for help on a while ago. Thanks Steve for the help. This is a 250gr Nosler Accubond load, 109 yds (100meters), 5-10mph quartering wind, 58.5 IMR4064, CCI200 primer, Graf case.
