With my limited time there,i would say that the Heartebeast & Black Wildebeast are tougher hunt. The Blue seamed to stand still alot more.

In my experience in Namibia with these aminals, I rate the red hartebeest as the most fun to hunt. I have been told that the red hartebeest is one of the fastest amimals in Africa. The black wildebeest I have seen tend to stay in the open areas and can be spotted from a distance. Getting close could be difficult but if they spook, they may just run around in a circle. I don't think black wildebeest are native to Namibia. Blue wildebeest have a reputation of being very tough. I have seen hundreds of them, shot only one broken horn bull. I have seen them just stand and let you walk by within a hundred yards and I have seen them run like hell at the first site of you. It may be whatever mode they are in at the time.

Hartebeest and blue wildebeest are both extremely wary. Black wildebeest much less so. Steve "He wins the most, who honour saves. Success is not the test." Ryan "Those who vote decide nothing. black wildebeest and red hartebeest were the most challenging and fun. Blue wildebeest did not run as much but are tougher to bring down.

Of those three I'd say the red hartebeest was the most fun/challenging, then the blue, and lastly the black. I've only killed one of each though, so take it for what it's worth. _____________________ A successful man is one who earns more money than his wife can spend.

True, however, the Tsessebe is labeled as the fastest. In my personal experience, I find the Blue Wildebeest to be the most challenging, but Red Hartebeest can give you a run for your money as long as they have dense bush country to escape into (ditto for the Blue Wildebeest). Black Wildebeest are rather curious and that can be their downfall on open plains.
