Actually it looks to me like DawnRoar has bamboozled everyone.

We aren't talking about unethical PH's, newbie African hunters, and shooting baby elephants anymore are we. No we are arguing about some stuffed shirt lawyer. So he takes some heat for his client on this site... no biggie so long as the conversation is steered away from his client.

The entire hunt was a fiasco and the client should be refunded every dollar.

The booking agent has far more tools to extract money from the hunting outfit so the responsibilty lies there.

I don't give DR that much credit. COnversation has turned from the others involved because they've been written off already. Now, it's DR who is written off. If that is what DR wanted to do, have his client, his client's client and himself written off as pathetic, then he's done a good job, but I don't think anyone thinks better of the situation just because DR is supposedly martyring himself to protect his client.

While I believe in honesty and ethics, I would have a BIG problem the a booking agent sharing my hunting information, good or bad, with a third party without my consent.

This is what I've been wondering as well. While I relize Adam isn't held to the same standard as I am with my patients or a lawyer would be with his clients I do feel it's a pretty signifigant breech of trust to "leek" info to a friend to post on the internet. IF Adam did that I have little respect for that action. I recognize that he was put in a difficult spot, but sometimes we have to take the higher road.......including not leeking information damaging to your client......even if it might make you look better (which is questionable).

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Bingo. Did not take long to see that the six players involved were losers in some way.

Exactly...and that goes back to my older comments on the balls it takes to bribe someone who may decide to bribe you back to avoid being turned in to the authorities. That fear was likely lost due to past incidents of the same. It's not being scared as I was called, it's being prudent. What a debacle this whole damn thing has become.

Adam, Mark and DawnRoar, Wayne and Tim, and AllGone.

I don't see Mark as part of this, but others seem to think he is one of the players.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Mark is not involved in this.

Although I was one of those who thought he might have known about it from his first post on this thread.

Yes, Mark is my number six guy. It looks to me that he tried to bully AG from the start and this is not the first time I have questioned his actions. YMMV
