Cool--We're watching an African waterhole at dusk while on this forum, listening to the football game on radio. Neat!!

Africam has been around for about four years..I used to show my children it in school to see Africa and its animals..One of my students saw a lion grab an animal at a waterhole one day...I even remember 5 or 6 lions drinking at a waterhole also... Cool

It also was free and had about 6 different cameras and different locations...

Does anyone know who is working the camera, and from where? At all hours of the day and night, someone is zooming in on animals. Cool

This is sooo neat! Any computer geeks in the crowd who can tell us how to save the audio? I'd love to just play it in my little cubicle at work as a constant reminder of last September and next.......

This is way too cool, I can't wait to show the grandchilderen especially my granddaughter. The first thing she does when she comes up to our house is walk over to the cabinet with videos and pulls down "Death by Double Rifle" oh yea only 3 but knows which is which as I move that video around and she always picks it. Maybe she will like this site. I have it iconed by it self just click and you are there. Oh that was poor.

To record some sound go to start, programs, accessories, entertainment, and turn on the sound recorder and click record. When you are done recording save it as a .wav file in a location where you know you will find it like my documents. You could also create a folder named Africa and save it there.

You have to have high speed internet to make it work right. Dial up will not work. It will continue to try and connect but never does.Don't have it at home, only at work. The pits!! Even on high speed it will skip every so often. But it is enough to hear all the great sounds that make you want to return to Africa so bad.Oh yeah, the hunting ain't bad either. The go away bird and dove's, they will live in my memory forever. Until the next time. Linda

Is there a person operating the camera?

How does this work?

I thought it was tracking on motion & Infra-red sensors.
