Great site, I remember seeing this many years ago, pre high-speed INet, so much better now. A bird just nailed and ate a frog, too cool. Thanks for posting RAC.

Note that if you double-click (two fast clicks w/the left mouse button) the display goes to full-screen. Although you loose resolution, it looks good from a distance, and sure beats 24hrs of CNN. Clicking twice shrinks it back.

There were a bunch of zebras there shortly after sunrise this morning. Right before sunrise, however, I saw what appeared to be a leopard came in for a drink. It would sip a bit and then back off from the water, before coming back for more. It did this for about 5 minutes. It was very cautious. My son, who's off at college, was watching at about the same time. He said he heard a leopard about then called his roommate in so he could hear what a leopard sounded like. Pretty cool!

Here is a link that you can paste directly into Windows media player. That way you can resize the image, etc.

I saw one a few nights ago - an owl standing in the grass next to the waterhole swooped about 20 ft and got a mouse - ripped it up and ate it.

Ahh - the dangers of Africa.....

Not a big predator, but...It was so cool to watch

There is a herd of wildebeest coming in to drink as I turned it on! I also hear the sound of a generator far in the distance.

What country is this?

Here are some Q&A's about this cam and photos of it.

Dear all, please below where I have answered the following questions:

1. Can you show us a picture of the camera mounts, and is it in a tree? Will be on site later today will take a picture and send to you.

2. How close is the camera person to the water hole. The camera is about 10m from the waterhole

3. Who is behind the camera. The staff of Nkorho lodge, a commercial tourist lodge specializing in safari’s

4. What kind of tree is it in. The tree is dead, but it was a leadwood tree, so named because the wood sinks in water as it is so dense.

5. How close do people actually come to these animals at the water hole. Only people escorted by guides in safari vehicles or perhaps on foot can come close to the pan

6. Is the water hole, man made or natural. It is a natural pan but is pumped bt a borehole

7. In a drought, do you keep the water hole filled with water. yes

8. Do Lions ever come to this water hole. Yes, all the big five, lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant also cheetah and wilddogs if your lucky.

9. Is the person behind the camera at ground level or up a tree. The controller is 250m away at the lodge, actually at the bar where they sit and control from, see attached pic unfortunately it was taken at night but it give you an idea. Anyway, enjoy the cam

At 11:10 CST just watched a nice leopard drink what looked like 10 gallons of water, wallked away into the bush, and out of sight as two tourist car loads of camera buffs drove in with spot lights searching the bush!

Neat....................! thumb
