I won’t be voting for any on this list, although one might be a good addition (the wildlife lawyer). Two others are returning and were instrumental in moving to Atlanta. One other was a “Chief People Officer” where she was in charge of diversity and inclusivity initiatives (read bio and search past employers), personally don’t think hunting groups need DEI. The club has had a problem getting a quorum and voting for one goes toward the quorum. You can bet all five will manage to get on the board ![]() Karl Evans

Saeed, there was a write in option in the past. I received the email about the candidates, but really don’t care for them, as it’s just a reshuffle. If the write in option is still available, Saeed can MDSCGA! It’s also interesting that each vote has a chance to win a Blaser R8. I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills. Marcus Cady DRSS

It looks to me like four of the five candidates are currently in DSC leadership positions, a according to the DSC board web page : Richard Burdon - current DSC Vice President Rebecca Jones - no current position on the DSC board Jay Leyendecker - current DSC board member with term expiring this year Mike Oropallo - current DSC Assistant VP Russell Stacy - current DSC board member with term expiring this year and none of them talk about needed changes. So, tough to make an informed decision. Also, in the original letter that's at the start of the post, Rob McCanna said: "My goal and commitment to all of you is to have more details by the end of January or early February that will allow you to better plan for upcoming events based on our path forward that we are charting now." It's late February and I haven't seen any more details. Or did I miss a communication? City of Dallas announced yesterday that the 2026 World Cup communications world hub will be located in the KBH Convention center for the duration of the series, January thru August. This mess is so sad. I’ve only been a life member for about 5 years and I’m still “youngish”. Just thinking out loud but can I get a partial refund for the remainder of my life membership term??? "The true test of a man's character is what he does when no one is watching". - John Wooden

Me too. You just have to look at the current board members and their backgrounds to appreciate that there was a coup to take the organization backwards. Crazy. DSC mutates to look more like the old SCI and SCI mutates to look more like the old DSC. Mike

This link is very good and a very detailed description of the mess that DSC has made for itself. BTW - Africahunting.com is an outstanding website and has less drama than here.

Drama? Because we let you say what you want? And stand against you when you are on a wrong crusade? And they do not like anyone even MENTION AR! As I have stated many times before, we support every hunting ang shooting website. We do NOT ban members from mentioning the name of another website. And finally, if you do not like the "drama" we have here at AR, stop being a drama queen! ![]()

Let us say what we want? That’s laughable considering the Baldry topic you decided to lock. ____________________________________________ "Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life." Terry Pratchett.

You and other stupid IDIOTS took it upon yourselves to crucify an innocent individual, and gave a pass to the real crocks! Can you tell me where your hero, Cory, who stole over half a million dollars from innocent people to finance his African adventure is now? He tried to use AR to justify his crime. Did not work. You know why? Because despite you and others like you, there are very honest individuals on here who did not like what you started. And you got your arse handed to you, just as Cory got his dues!

You should just post over there then. Then you will see how they run that page. Kiss ass or cover for sponsors is all that page is. Place was great at one time but it is now the same 20 guys telling everyone what they should do or how great they are.

Yep, very mistaken and twisted in a view of facts and law. Open here? Don’t think so. Opinions and facts that are different from the benevolent czar host and owner are showered in criticism and words approaching slander. The “other” website is a commercial enterprise. This is a website that started as a place to share but has devolved into what it Saeed - you and some others have lost your way and turned this into what you tried to avoid 20 years ago. A true pity. Much like what has happened to DSC.

+1. You know why folks are going to the other forum to read about what is going on at DSC? Because Dave Fulson posted the information over there . . . after you ran him off from this forum. There is a reason this forum is a withered figment of what it once was. You might consider a little introspection. Mike

well any site that if you say another name they remove it is pretty lame to me. At least here you can say go to ah look at this post and it stays. Everyone always says how bad it is hear but sure is nice when you can have your say and not be removed because of hurting someones feeling or because they pay to be there.

Why don’t you lot start your very own site? And run it as you wish? You dislike AR so much, why don’t you all leave?? You idiotic lot had a go at Andrew, who didn’t take a penny of Corey’s money. Ibi did, and because of your utter stupidity, he isn’t go* g to pay back a penny by the look of things. In the meantime, Corey ran off once he 3as exposed as a much bigger crook than Ibi ever was. Over half a million Dollars of innocent people’s money, to finance his African safaris. We don’t “protect” members from others. And we don’t pay anyone to post. I get requests all the time for paid posts. Tell them to take a hike! Some famous writers had a few grudges against what is posted on AR . They asked for it to be removed. Told them they are free to post whatever they wish. But I will not stop others posting whatever they wish either.

A quota is just that, a certain number of animals must be culled, by who makes no difference, its no different than cattle, goat or sheep ranching, the area will only support x number of animal. proper management is a must, and sometimes it ain't easy That said, this thread is complicated and unless we have all the facts and an investigation is called for I see no light at the end of the tunnel, nor will AR be the redeeming light as it now stands. ![]() Ray Atkinson Atkinson Hunting Adventures 10 Ward Lane, Filer, Idaho, 83328 208-731-4120 rayatkinsonhunting@gmail.com

I've read and re-read Dave Fulson's post on AQH and agree with most of it. This crazy takeover took more than one individual (and his wife) to accomplish. It started in 2020, and I warned several board members it was coming. I was no longer on the board, but could, as a past president, attend board meetings. I requested of Mark Little to allow me to speak to the board about what I thought could take place in the next two board cycles, he refused and told me to put it in an email and he would decide what the board needed to hear. I didn't do that, but still have the email exchange. My prediction proved to be true. They've run some really good, smart people off. /the oncoming board members know nothing about DSC or fulfilling the mission for the members other than what those in power choose to let them know. Dave is also correct in that his company did one hell of a good job promoting the club, they did dozens of short videos of members, PH's and sponsors promoting the club; I haven't seen anything like that from the new guys. I wouldn't blame Dave and Tim for being very, very bitter about the loss of the contract, between the club and foundation it was a pretty lucrative contract, I don't think it would do any good to give figures, so I won't. It had to hurt to lose the business. About the only thing I would disagree with Dave on is the "necessity" of moving the convention to Atlanta, as TTHA/SCI demonstrated in spades. He reports it was a unanimous vote and then heard later from some of those voting that they opposed the move, I've heard from a couple that they opposed the move and voted against it, who knows? Regardless, it was a dumbass move pushed by one or two directors (one of whom will be elected for a second full term and served 11 months of another term, term limits are two terms and any unexpired term served first...bylaws written by this directors wife, as always will correct if proven wrong). As noted in another post, the 5 nominees for director will all be approved, one way or the other and nothing will change for the better and I'm afraid will only get worse and the next few months will be interesting. And I'm still waiting for an update from the new CEO as he promised in mid January and started this thread. Karl Evans

I do not doubt Dave Fulson for one minute. This cadre of DSC bozos literally chose their precious OHAA sashes over all else the organization had to offer. Who needs to focus on good works and conservation, right? Self-aggrandizement is what really matters. I guess the rank and file members should be grateful for the Atlanta fiasco. At least it seems to have caught their attention. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

I never was a big fan of most awards, I was a huge fan of recognizing those volunteers who went above and beyond as well as the wonderful lady the lady that the volunteer award was named in honor of, Dixie Yeatts. Many deserving individuals were recognized for their efforts and dedication. The OHAA and Youth Hunter Awards are, in my mind , worthless. I think both will go away, especially since two of the directors that voted to keep the OHAA award have children who have already received the youth Hunter award. Karl Evans

I’ll note for the DSC for Texas contingent that Dave Fulton identifies that previous leadership of DSC was expanded DSC nationally and not just a Texas hunt club. I remember it was Corey’s administration that launched out of Texas chapters. As a member of AH identified DSX retracting into a Texas club is a flaw.

[QUOTE] I remember it was Corey’s administration that launched out of Texas chapters.[QUOTE] Actually, Chris Hudson did most of the “heavy lifting” regarding chapter formation and I was able to finally get board approval, several members were against chapters but came around. Regarding Corey, at the time, when we hired him he was 100% the right man for the job (as Dave opined), afterward something changed and the club suffered, hopefully the new guy can set it right but I seriously doubt it.
