500grains is still missed by many of us.

He's a friend and Dan is still alive and kicking, just not here.

Careful what you post about Ngangrene, you might find yourself in a camp with him.

+3 These are my thoughts exactly, When the sillyness starts I just stop reading the thread. Same thing happens over on Taxidermy.net, there's a couple of old blow hards that muck everything up, and they are "real nice guys" in person, but not nice on the forums. That's my definition of a computer coward, brave on line but "Real nice guys" face to face.

Boy is this ever correct. One trip down to the political forum will verify that this forum is full of internet cowards, haters, and just flat rude people who delight in posting personal insults and character assaults on people they do not agree with. This includes Saeed the forum owner, which says alot. Sad and embarrassed to say I've been part of that at times too....no more for me.

There is still lots to learn here, but just like the real world, people will screw up a one car funeral.

No one is forcing you to be here.

Or are you one of those who have nothing useful in life but complain? clap

This forum, any forum on the internet, is what the membership makes of it.

I have yet to be on one where ALL members got along or even really tried.

It is just human nature. It seems like people that participates on these sites, for whatever reason, lose the concept of tolerance for others and their ideas/opinions/beliefs when in internet "Conversations", that the majority of us display when in Face To Face interactions.

Having been very guilty of internet aggression myself, I have witnessed first hand the differences in attitude and manners that takes place when internet "enemies" end up in actual face to face interactions.

Even the rocks don't last forever.

Man, talking about dragging up the past. 6 years ago this thread died of unnatural causes only to be resurrected. Unlike you, Andy, Steve has mellowed over the years. And I am looking forward to sharing a fishing adventure in a few months in Brazil with him and a few other AR posters.
